Promotion starts at 12:01 am Pacific Time on December 14, 2012, and ends at 11:59 pm Pacific Time on April 19, 2013.
OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ANY ONE OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES OR DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE AT LEAST AGE 18 (OR THE AGE OF MAJORITY UNDER APPLICABLE LAW). THIS PROMOTION IS NOT OPEN TO COLLEGIATE ATHLETES PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS GOVERNED BY THE NATIONAL COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION, OR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE PLAYED PROFESSIONAL, SEMI-PROFESSIONAL OR DIVISION I COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL AT ANY TIME. ALL ENTRANTS MUST HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS THAT DOES NOT END IN ".EDU". If you have an APO or FPO mailing address, you must identify your state of permanent residence.
To enter, take one or all of the following steps during the Promotion Period:
(i) Submit a "General Submission" and receive one (1) entry by:
(a) Visiting the TaxACT Facebook page (https://www.facebook.co
(b) Following the instructions to submit your General Submission, including providing all requested contact information. You must have an email address that does not end in ".edu" in order to enter the Promotion.
(ii) After submitting a General Submission, entrants may receive additional entries by taking the following steps during the Promotion Period:
(a) Submit a "Share a Story Submission" and receive ten (10) entries by:
(1) Creating a video (no more than two (2) minutes in length) or creating or taking or a photo (digital or that can be digitized (PNG or JPG format) and that is no more than 5 megabytes in size), and in the case of a photo, including a 200 character or less caption, describing how you would feel after winning a cash prize from Tax ACT;
(2) Visiting the TaxACT Facebook page at (www.facebook.co
(3) Following the instructions to upload your video or photo and submit your Share a Story Submission.
(b) Submit an "TaxACT Registration Submission" and receive ten (10) entries by:
(1) Visiting the TaxACT Facebook page and TaxACT Sweepstakes application tab at (www.facebook.co
(2) Clicking on "Start Registration"; and
(3) Filling in your information to complete the TaxACT Online registration by clicking "Start Free Return."
(c) Submit "Additional General Submissions," and receive five (5) entries each time you submit an Additional General Submission (limited to one per day), up to a total of four (4) Additional General Submissions during the Promotion Period by:
(1) Logging in to Facebook and visiting the TaxACT Facebook page (www.facebook.co
(2) Clicking the "Add Entry" button to submit your Additional General Submission.
For All Submissions: You may submit one (1) General Submission and receive one (1) entry, one (1) Share a Story Submission and receive ten (10) entries, one (1) TaxACT Registration Submission and receive ten (10) entries, and one Additional General Submission per day, up to a maximum of four Additional General Submissions, and receive five (5) entries per Additional General Submission during the Promotion Period.
Entries received before a particular drawing will be eligible for the next drawing and all subsequent drawings. Submissions received from any person (using multiple or different Facebook accounts or other applicable accounts) or email address in excess of the stated limit will be void. Submissions received from a ".edu" email address will be void.
(iii) In addition to the entries you receive by submitting a Submission, if you share the Promotion with your Facebook friends by clicking "Refer A Friend" (a "Referral") in the sweepstakes tab of the TaxACT Facebook app and one of your friends wins a $1,500 or $5,000 cash prize, you will also win a cash prize of $500 (a "Referral Prize").
Limit twenty-one (21) entries per person, which must include one (1) General Submission for which you will receive one (1) entry, and may include a combination of the following: one (1) Share a Story Submission (defined below) for which you will receive ten (10) entries, one (1) TaxACT Registration Submission (defined below) for which you will receive ten (10) entries, and one Additional General Submission per day, up to a maximum of four Additional General Submissions, for which you will receive five (5) entries per Additional General Submission.
Twelve winners will be determined by random drawings of all eligible entries on the dates and for the prizes set forth below:
If a winner of a $1,500 or $5,000 cash prize was a Referral, the entrant who referred such winner to the Promotion will win a $500 Referral Prize. There will be up to four winners of Referral Prizes.
Prizes. One (1) $5,000 cash prize, three (3) $1,500 cash prizes and between eight and twelve (8-12) $500 cash prizes, depending on the number of Referral Prizes. The total approximate retail value of the prizes is $15,500, assuming all Referral Prizes are awarded. TaxACT strongly encourages all winners to use the cash prizes to pay for post-secondary education. Limit one prize per person (unless such person wins a Referral Prize) or household.

Each General Submission, Share a Story Submission, TaxACT Registration Submission and Additional General Submission are individually and collectively referred to herein as a "Submission." All requested information and material must be provided for your entry to be valid. Submissions submitted to TaxACT in connection with the Promotion will not be returned to entrants. Failure to submit all required information in the manner required in these Official Rules may result in disqualification. By uploading your Share a Story Submission, you agree that your Submission conforms to the Content Guidelines and Restrictions for Share a Story Submissions listed below (collectively, the "Guidelines and Restrictions") and that TaxACT, in its sole discretion, may remove your Share a Story Submission and disqualify you from the Promotion if it believes, in its sole discretion, that your Share a Story Submission fails to conform to the Guidelines and Restrictions.
Content Guidelines and Restrictions for Share a Story Submissions:
· Your Share a Story Submission must be your original creation and owned one hundred percent (100%) by you, or alternatively you must have full rights to grant the license and rights that you grant to TaxACT in Section 10 below;
· Your Share a Story Submission must not contain material that violates or infringes upon any person's or entity's rights including, but not limited to, the rights of privacy (including, but not limited to, publicity and/or right not to be held in a false light), publicity or any intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, trademark or copyright infringement), and cannot describe, in any identifiable way, any copyrights, trademarks/tradenames, logos, or similar brand identifying marks or third party artistic works;
· Your Share a Story Submission must not disparage any person or entity;
· Your Share a Story Submission must be tasteful, consistent with TaxACT brand and image, must not be harmful to TaxACT brand or image, and must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortious, and/or defamatory;
· Your Share a Story Submission must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
· Your Share a Story Submission must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where the Share a Story Submission is created; and
· You must have signed permission from all individuals (including without limitation parents/legal guardian of children, if featured and if not your own) that appear in the Share a Story Submission to use their name, likeness, persona, and image in the Share a Story Submission and to grant the rights set forth herein. If requested by TaxACT, you must be able to provide such permissions in a form acceptable to TaxACT.
