I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

The Samsung TV is 5 years old, but a company that stands up and replaces something like that because of a bad part is ..... Good With Me !!

Wow, Very impressive, You did good..... Back in the mid 90's I bought an RCA 46" projection tv, It had a beautiful big wooden cabinet with dark tinted glass doors below the screen with shelves and shit, $1600. It was the latest greatest tv out at that time. It lasted 1 year and 1 week LOL, Just out of warranty. RCA wouldn't help me. Spent another $300 and numerous trips to the local repair shop trying to get it fixed, Never did. Ended up throwing it away. You'll never see another RCA anything in my house.
