Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

My mini "dry spell" is over! Maybe I should have complained sooner. However, you will note that I didn't win any chocolate. As a matter of fact, I haven't won a Twix since Feb. 22nd. I have to be doing something wrong. ; )

Little wins, but I'll take them.

None of that area is that deep. Maybe 20 ft? No one knows. Maybe there was no other place to tie it off. Sam's boss said one side of the barge went down and it slid off on its side. Lot of money lost there. It had to be approved to tie it off there or the owner would not have done that. Maybe they were waiting for proper papers to work in the bay cleanup.

It has to come out because of the gas and oil in it. At least no one got hurt.
I would have liked to see all those unmanned boats zooming around the bay the night of Sandy. Lot of boats just going by themselves all over wherever the wind took them.

You know, just thought of something else. they had plans of working big-time on that bridge before Sandy because of the volume of cars going over back and forth each season. that probably weakened the bridge more. So much traffic you have no idea in the summer.

20ft ain't so bad, Maybe they can put a crane on the bridge and lift it back on a barge. I can't imagine the horror of all those boats flying around unmanned flipping in the air and shit, Taking on water and eventually sinking.

And the ones that did not sink wound up in someone else's driveway, front yard, on the street miles away from where it started its journey. There were so many unknown boats all over here for weeks.
Sam's boss has 2 barges. Boss checks them on the weekend and if he cannot get there we go to check on the ropes if there is high wind. There is a small boom on one of the barges. It is very hard to work on the bay. If it too windy you cannot. If it is a dock repair, and the tide is too high or too low, you cannot. So always must be a back-up job but then they have to move the slow-moving barge to the other job. Most of the boat lifts were wiped out so they are doing them as well as docks and pilings.
