Some reviews...

Beach Sexy Push-up Bandeau top [victoriassecret.com], 34DD, white multi stripe - This is very cute, but there still isn't enough coverage for my taste. I tried the 36D in this style last year and this fits about the same, just with a snugger band. I think I will try the 36DD for the extra coverage, though it's doubtful I will be able to wear it strapless with the looser band. The white multi stripe is even prettier in person, it's not as washed out as in the photo. I wish the padding was removable, but it is relatively modest compared to VS's other push-up swimwear.

Gorgeous Push-up Bandeau top [victoriassecret.com], 36DD, black/black multi stripe - The band is very loose in this style, way more so than I expect from a 36. I kind of want to try the 34DD, but I can tell the cups won't fit right, they barely cover what I want them to now. There is a significant amount of padding and it is not removable.

Cheeky hipkini bottom, L - I got these with a clearance suit and they are crazy tiny! They do have a flattering cut, but I don't want 2/5 of my cheeks hanging out in public. Also, the ruched back really defines the crack too, leaving precious little to the imagination.

i don't like the printed one. i feel the print is distracting and takes the focus away from the pretty pretty lace.

it may also be bc i don't like the pink in the print. Dontknow i also don't like the fabric as much. haha there is so much i dislike about the printed one!

what's wrong with the waxing. i'm afraid of some nail salons.

i normally get a pedi about once a month. sometimes in the winter i go 6-8 weeks. they are relaxing until you outside in your sandals. i'm kind of thinking about trying the gel manicures. i just took my fake nails off.
It's that some technicians double-dip the stick. That introduces your skin and bacteria to the wax. Some do not use new wax for each customer. Because my salon is not transparent, meaning everything is ready when I get there so I cannot confirm if it is new wax. My bestie said at her salon, the tech rolls in the equipment and the wax is still in solid form wrapped.

Are you referring to Shellac manicure? I love it. I get them done for special occasions. A little leary of the exposure to the UV... but it is so much nicer that fake nails. I had those in my younger years.

Yes! Your doctor's office would be safer I imagine. I added on to the post...forgot the manicure part.

I just gave myself a pedi. I will go to the salon for a professional one before my vaca. It was quite relaxing. I had done a pedi in a long time. I may start doing them on a regular basis. Next time drugstore.com has a promotion I will have to re-up on my Freeman footcare. I love that stuff. There is a foot soak, scrub, and lotion.

I saw an undercover investigation on nail salons, and now I do not want to be professionally waxed any longer either. I successfully waxed myself for the first time ever using a Sally Hansen kit. My bestie's salon seems quite transparent before waxing, so I may go there before my vaca.
Is this the kit [drugstore.com]that you have?

I'm curious because my friend that's getting married wants to try nair, but I told her nair doesn't work for me and I suggested to get professionally waxed, but in light of what you said...a cheap at home kit might be better.

She also wants to do her legs as well - think that will cover it?

Yes! That's the exact kit I used. If she's never waxed herself or at least been waxed so she's familiar with the technique, it may not be a good idea. That kit is not large enough to do legs. It is more for smaller areas. It was barely enough for the bikini area because there are more smaller strips than larger. However, it is all relative depending on the amount of hair.

I haven't used Nair in years, but I have some Veet. I am tempted to try it on my legs because it is faster than shaving. I do not have any after-shave cream though. I believe it is a bit iirritating afterwards if an after-shaving cream isn't used.

Yup, that's it. It looks natural and pretty. Acrylics were so bad for my nails. Mine used to grow so long before I began getting them. It took a long time to grow strong nails after I stopped.

Mine are fine after the part that the nail was on grows out. Until then they get thin and break easy.
