question - so kids are free on int'l flights also? or does it depend on the airline and/or destination. my friend was just telling me yesterday that she didn't think it was the case for int'l flights. i thought that it was, but she's the one with a kid so i didn't argue. laugh out loud
infants on lap, younger than 2 yrs old. no seat for them.

i think dh looked around and he says in some cases they charge infants on lap extra, like $300.

i know we've talked about me getting this lace top [express.com] in s, but is it body hugging? i'm thinking if it is meant to cling to the body even at half-size larger, it might no be for me.
i never tried the S, but i think the style is meant to be fitted, as opposed to the hi-lo hem tee [express.com] which is not. (btw i did try that shirt in XS and the sleeves were perfect on me. i didn't love the shirt tho).

ahhh ic ic. that must be what she is referring to then. so it's airline-specific?

thanks! Smilie that clears it up for me. they're looking to travel with an infant (she'll be 1.2 yrs old when they travel).

this top looks really cute:

and there are some really cheap things in clearance (i.e. $10 boucle mini skirt).

I love this top. I was surprised it got bad reviews until I realized it just people bitching because it runs small. It really doesn't run small. Limited just runs big laugh out loud.

i posted for you about that hi-lo, but i didn't quote so you may have missed. i know you won't like it because it is short. i thought i liked it at first, but i realized it's too boxy the 2nd time i tried it on to finalize my purchase.

might be airline ruling.

laugh out loud i agree that limited runs big. so does express. or any store where i consistently have to size down to xs. Stick Out Tongue

this top looks really cute too!! http://www.thelimited.com/on/dema...0133240003 oh man... i never saw that in store. it's totally my style.

it wasn't a horrible shirt on me. but you're right - it was a little short.

oh speaking of stuff i tried, i got to try the tulip back sweater [express.com] in store. it was annoying bc they put them on hangers and the hangers stretched out the sweaters! it's made partially of silk which is a nice surprise. i got the blush pink one for my friend. it runs long - the sleeves on XS were almost perfect on me and on S it was long even for me. but i would get S for myself because the shoulders were a bit narrow on the XS. the sweater is pretty long in S.

i'm starting to think express stuff is not made for me sizing-wise... laugh out loud my shoulders are too wide.

That's cute too.
I agree about express. I was having trouble fitting some of the clothes before my surgery.

I think limited runs larger than express though in general. I still can not wear a lot of their stuff.

i think express makes a lot of their stuff for shorter people. that's why i often need to size up for the length. it's great for you guys, but they should really just consider doing a regular and a petite line.

i do size up to S a lot more at express than limited tho, not just for length. but i think limited has also never run short for me... i did love their tops when i used to shop there. there are a lot that i like a lot more than express right now too. too bad things are pricey and they seem to be getting rid of their crazy sales (i.e. no more v$ that are multiuse... boo).

so this is weird - i just checked my next acct and i have a $15 reward available now. could it be possible that they refunded my reward automatically on the item that went oos? or was it another reward that they randomly gave me? Scratchhead i think i will need to call to get to the bottom of this.

I can not wear limited dresses at all. I have luck with their sweaters and some tops. I also love their jewelry. Jewelry is my favorite thing they carry. I also can wear some of their jackets. I don't really have luck with any of their bottoms.

Before my surgery I had trouble with some express tops and dresses being a little big up top. Especially in the straps. I do wish both express and limited (especially) had a petite line (besides pants).

i grabbed this belt [express.com] at express on sat and i love it! the faux leather is super soft and i think it's gorgeous. the cognac color is lighter than it appears on the site - it's a real cognac color with warmer tones than what i see. i was just going to grab the pencil belt bc it was cheaper but this one is so much prettier.

Oops, it looks like I'm going to have to go back to reselect most of the quotes. I hate when that happens. Annoyed

Colorblock Sweaterdress [victoriassecret.com] - Grey Multicolor - The grey online looks like Medium Heather Grey, but in reality it is Heather Grey which is much much lighter. This is why when I looked in the mirror I did not recall ordering this dress. It looks much better online because the contrast the colors do not compliment in this instance. The grey is extra material on top of the black dress. I am not a fan of that. Return!
Thanks for the review.

I love good food for sure and I actually like making food. Or at least attempting. So much healthier. I made pumpkin creme brulee for the first time today from scratch. Tasted really good!! :dr ool:

That's too bad about the dress. I saw that and was thinking about how good it looked today. I got a gauze maxi skirt to try. Even though it said it was 42" from waist, so hopefully it's not too long...
That creme brulee sounds delicious. drool

I'm a foodie where I like to eat everywhere but I can't cook or bake! I've tried lol I blame it on not having the proper tools or ingredients though. Home made stuff takes so much work....and lots of ingredient gathering n it gets expensive, but I'm sure the delicious result is worthwhile.

Mmm love creme brûlée! Do you have a torch for the top sugar layer?
Starting out cooking from scratch is very expensive. When I used to do it a lot, I kept my pantry & fridge stocked. Staples & spices will last a long time. That made meals much cheaper. Now that I rarely cook, it costs a lot for me to make a meal. We could eat out cheaper, but sometimes I just want something homemade. If you ever start cooking regularly, it won't be so expensive.

I really wish that we would just get express cash with online orders...then none of this would be a problem.
That would be great. I rarely go in a store. I've never even seen Express Cash.

Quote from nerdicus :
is it normal for amazon to combine shipping on separate orders?? i just noticed that there's 1 tracking number for 2 different shoe orders, that i placed several days apart. i hope this doesn't end up being a problem.
I see kurpee has had this happen, but I never have. It's usually the opposite. I'll order 4 things at the same time & get 3 or 4 packages.

i saw a dress in express that was different and that i didn't recognize from online. they only had 2 of them, both in 0, so i had to squeeze myself into a 0. :l ol: i thought it'd make a perfect bridesmaid dress for someone using black. really cute dress but no idea where i would wear it (plus, it wasn't really my size... :l ol: )
I'm so impressed that you girls are willing to try on so much. I despise it. When I do go to a store, I usually bring the clothes home to try them on.

we are visiting home again this summer. we planned it so dh declined teaching load this summer, so we figured we should push through with it. loooong trip with a 1.5 yr old :f aint:

would have been better to space out vacays, but we're thinking we should go before ds has to pay for tickets (hopefully the 4 of us squeeze ok into the 3 seats), and we're hoping i'll have full-time permanent job next year, and we may be busier in the coming years.
You've probably mentioned it before, but I can't remember. Embarrassment Where is home? Are many of you girls or your ancestors from the same country or are you all from different areas?

i like getting a feel for size in-store, since they vary so much. so when i'm at the store and i'm not in a huge rush, i'll try as much stuff on as i feel up to. i don't mind it at all as long as i have my own stall to do it in!

funny story - when i was in the store trying on that dress (and other tops and stuff), someone came and asked if i wanted a fitting room started. i said sure and gave her my name. then when i was ready to try stuff on, i went to the fitting room only to find that the door on which all my stuff was hanging was locked and occupied. i went to reach for my stuff and a guy was like 'there's someone in there' (in a not so nice tone)... so i said "yeah well she took my fitting room because that's all my stuff". his response: "that's not her fault"... Blink ... uh actually i think it was completely her fault considering it was obviously a room meant for someone else since there were like 6 items hanging on the door with the door slightly ajar. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) i ended up going to find someone and telling them someone stole my fitting room. laugh out loud really stupid for the girl's bf to be so snarky when obviously they were in the wrong... all he had to say was 'oh.. sorry we didn't know' and i would have been fine... but being so defensive means he obviously knew that she took someone else's room and decided it was okay to do so because they are that kind of person.

she ended up trying the entire store and sending her BF out to get sizes and stuff. it was so irritating to hear them talking next to me after the earlier transgression.
