I have been trying to stay away from the DA line because they've all just been so-so and I am still trying to find my perfect fit, but I couldn't stay away! I would've never bought it when I saw it online (hence no more of my size) if I didn't go in store to do a return and it caught my eye. Facepalm

i got the khaki pleat sleeve in 2 and the sleeves are twice as wide as i need. i don't think i can wear it. it's just too baggy. (i can actually fit a 0 in that jacket but i'm not sure if i should size down so much bc the shoulders are so narrow)
i also noticed the arms wider than i would like, i actually tried to cuff it when i tried it on because of that. it has a slight bell shape to it, i think. the part near the shoulders are ok, it's wider near the sleeves. i think it's less pronounced in the black, maybe just because of the darkness of the color. i remember this problem with the white, but i was more concerned about the doctor look than the wide sleeves.

i still like it though. or i have conditioned myself to like it because i used my reward on it laugh out loud

hmmm i put mine away because without a strap i would never use it. i never considered car trips but i do feel like the bag is too big to be without strap. they should have made it a smaller duffel. all i can really put in it is a stuffed animal or sleeping bag if i want to carry it without strap.

i have no room in my closets for all this stuff so i've just been returning things to make room! it's hard with express bc of the 90 day limit. sometimes i just need more time to decide!

i'm wary of keeping so many pencil skirts because i really don't wear them all that much to work (if i want to "dress up" i generally prefer pants). i got those 6 skirts and 4 pairs of pants from clearance, plus 2 jackets all for work purposes. that's 90+80+55. plus i got a bunch of tops (i think i'm keeping the lace yoke tee in 3 colors :facep alm: plus 2 raglan sleeve tees, so that's 55 more) i know it's cheap compared to what they'd normally cost but i really don't even need them all! :facep alm: so i've been returning casual stuff i will likely wear once and then put aside. i returned all the dresses except for 1 blouson short dress (the $10 one, bc it was only 10 and i do like it) and the shark bite ones i used a reward on. i've been giving away tees from the $5 pile to friends. when your closet gets overstuffed you find the best way to clean it out... and sometimes it's to return stuff.

the XS was extremely tight in the chest area. in fact that's the tightest part of it. i feel like i can't breathe and it's pressing on my rib cage. : ( you should still try it tho if you can because things fit us all differently, and i am puffy right now from that time of the month.

this is why it's good to have an angel card..... :evil laf:
Seehearspeak

My closet is full, & I recently donated huge trash bags full of clothes. shake head I can't imagine how stuffed some of you must have your closets. I'd like to have all the options though. Whee

There can be positives to keeping unworn clothes. The top I found buried was perfect with the white lapel jacket. I really liked the jacket, but almost returned it thinking I wouldn't be able to find a top I liked with it.

I gave away a lot of the $5 tops too. They were too cheap to return, & it makes people's day when you give them a new top with tags still attached. bounce I'm keeping 3 of the lace yoke tees also. You should keep the other stuff too. They were a great price.

It doesn't sound like the XS peplum tops will fit me. It would probably be a waste of time to try them.

Did they have the same exp. date?

ETA: Oops, I see you already answered that.

Quote from PordaPoddy :
Express Try-Ons (have photos for all of these, will upload later and re-link) -Mixed-Media Drape Neck Dress [express.com] - Very cute (even tho I'm resistant to a drape neck). Skirt feels a little short, but not undoable. I am resistant to buying this style of dress b/c I feel like I should probably just buy that black flow skirt in clearance and pair it with a cowl neck top to achieve the same look
. (ann taylor).
I feel similarly about the dresses with a tight high-waist black skirt. I have that skirt, so therefore I can't buy those dresses :teeh ee:

Lace Hi-Low Hem Tee [express.com] - too short in front. Cute though. For reference- this shirt hits higher in the front than the lace yoke tees from clearance.

Lace Shoulder V-neck Tee [express.com] - Quite cute! However, these XS tops are borderline too short. I did not try it in an S. Also, with a larger chest, the shirt pulls away from you at the V and you can see through it (see the cleavage line). I'm undecided as the larger size might eliminate that problem.

Printed High-Neck Blouson Camis [express.com] - Love this and so happy XS fits. I want to pick one up for our next Hawaii trip. The length is just perfect, comes up under the arms so a strapless shouldn't show... instead of "Keep" , I should put GET since I"m waiting on rewards + sale.

Contrast Loop Chiffon Tank [express.com] - After I got done strangling myself in the straps like some Cirque De Solei flunkee, I looked in the mirror and :vo mit: . Just looked horrible on me. I'm sure someone can pull it off, but that person is not me.
The bottom of the dress is so cute though. I think it's cuter than the clearance skirt. You need it. Big Grin

The reviews on hi-lo hem tee say it runs small, even though it doesn't look like it would. Did you also feel it ran small?

I was going to try the v-neck tee in XS hoping it would come up higher & wouldn't show as much cleavage. I guess that plan won't work. Sadwalk It's really pretty. I guess I'll try the S in blue & black.

That cami is adorable. It's too bad a regular bra won't work with it.

I think I would buy less if I had my closet inventoried somehow. I forget what I have and buy similar stuff.

I'm curious - what made you dislike it when you saw it in the store? Was it too pink? Too much foiled lace? I thought the foiled lace was nice and subdued as was the pink. When I saw it online, I thought that the pink would make my skin tone look ashy because those kinda colors do normally, but it actually complemented my skin tone really well! I love the panties! Or their new ones now! I like how they have a mesh panel in the front and then lace in front of it. It looks soo much better and you can actually see the color of the lace on top of the original color of the fabric.

I wish there was this one particular on I was looking for in my size! They only had it in M and L Sadwalk This one [victoriassecret.com] to match the bra I have.

I do laundry every week. I go crazy when it clutters up, like more than 5 shirts piling up. I like my things fresh and folded. Definitely can probably go half a year without washing anything!

Yes. I had to return a top that I bought last year for a sale price, but bought AGAIN at SAS for clearance price Facepalm Inventory would be sooo much easier. I feel like I can do that and have things much more organized if I had the closet space available!

I have that problem, even though I have actual drawers and those plastic ones to put my overflow of stuff.

I found that organizing and folding and piling by type helps. I have each one organized by color - red, white, black, greens/blues, pinks, etc...

Then I have them piled up by type, so all the tees of the same color in one pile, all camis in one pile, all halters in another, all tanks, home clothes, etc... so once I pull out my drawer, I see the top item, I know what's exactly underneath. I was going mad when everything was just only organized by color. I felt a big sigh a relief when I did that! nod Smilie

i need to reorganize my dresser every few months. things don't go back in as neatly when it's just a few pieces, so every few months i have to reorganize. i also have stuff everywhere, so i'll change up where things are stored once in awhile so new stuff goes into rotation.

it's seriously a disease. i tend to only wear the things i can see.
