nod Makes my mom a paranoid nut job... All of a sudden these rare occurrences become, "__bad thing____ happens all the time over there" . I used to live in Van Nuys, right around the corner form the PD. You would see a undercover car drive by looking for the drug dealers. We only lived there 1 year 8/9 mos. Until we could afford a house. Crazy things young adults do.

For me, I think black works with white. I usually wear black bras under white clothing so it doesn't show. Sounds kinda weird, but these are non-sheer whites. Like standard white tees and tanks. hehe. Maybe you could give it a try some time. Or maybe darker skin, so the black bras just work under white. Not sure.
...
i used to do that, but it definitely showed through - i just did it more as a fashion statement. it's really hard to find a non-sheer white... but i agree that it looks better than, say, putting white under white... that showed through in a different/worse way.

this is a good idea - the only thing they won't forward is 2nd class mail.

this is stupid. first they don't let us cancel backorders (or they flag us), now they charge us extra when backorders ship - it looks like they shouldn't offer backorders in the first place! it's a trap - i guess i'll try to wean myself off of bo'd items.

2 new portofinos ordered laugh out loud

alvs - did you get the sleeveless portofino with leather collar?
speaking of which, i got the white on white polka dot portofino... and it's white on beige. laugh out loud i don't know if it's always looked like that on the site and i just didn't notice. it's more noticeably beige in person. still cute... just different from what i expected. it also came without a scanning tag grrrr. not 100% sure and will have to try it on with a stone colored tank under to see how it is.

in general i hate express's photos because they have horrible color representation. a lot of stuff is washed out.

there's also a fs with clothing code w pin found in store. it's one time per acct.

mostly i'm ordering swim.

hehehe underwater basement sounds fascinating! :l ol: i'd imagine you can't have basements at all... hell some houses even go under due to all the sinkholes. scary!

this is where my age shows - i now only wear nude or black bras. :shu tup: i keep hoarding the nude ones bc i wear them most. i like my underwear to look invisible under clothing... and a lot of clothing is sheer these days.
Thanks for the code info. Since I never go to the store, I don't see me getting a clothing pin. Oh well, hopefully there will be another good shipping code soon.

I can imagine there would be very few places here where you could build a basement, if any. I know there's none in our immediate area & south. Sinkholes are a definite threat. It would probably be worse if more people were digging deeper to build.

All of my bras were pretty ones, until I realized I had to always coordinate my bra & clothes. On my cruise/land vacation, I wore a couple of my bras with the unintended top or dress & ended up having to wash some. That was the longest vacation we'd been on in several years, so I never really thought about my bra situation until then. Since then, I've been buying all beige, nude, & black bras. I'm probably going to get a white one next. Beige is closer to a nude on me than the nude color, so I'm trying to buy more of those.

Do y'all get tornadoes or just hurricanes?
Occasionally, we get tornadoes. They're mostly water spouts over the ocean that we only know about if someone is fortunate enough to catch it on video or photo & sends it to one of the news stations. Hurricanes can generate tornadoes, but we've never had one from a hurricane here. In the 16 yrs. we've lived here, I've heard of one small tornado in our area that caused a little damage to the roof of a grocery store. It's definitely not something we need to worry about.

Quote from PordaPoddy :
I'm terrified of Tornadoes! I rode one out in WI a long time ago. Those WWII air raid sirens are so haunting. I feel like Tornadoes do more damage, more often - in the US at least. I don't remember anyone dying in an earthquake in CA w/ the exception of the Bay area quake in the 80s :scrat ch:
As has been discussed, it depends on what you're used to. Hurricanes don't scare me in the least. We know a week ahead of time, if one may come here. Tornadoes & earthquakes would terrify me. The lack of advance warning, with plenty of time to react, makes a big difference to me. Probably because that's what I'm used to. If I lived in another part of the country, I may feel differently.

The only other natural disaster type occurrence I've had to deal with is flooding & snowstorms in NC. The flooding was extremely rare, but could happen every 10 - 15 yrs. It was just often enough to add a bit of excitement to an otherwise mundane, small town life. laugh out loud Snowstorms stink! I'll take hurricanes anytime. Not only do you lose utilities due to heavy snow, you're also stuck at home to endure your miserable circumstances. You never know whether you should leave the area for a few days, because they're never accurate about the amount of snow you'll get. Plus, some heavy snows cause you to lose utilities & some don't.

Long story not short enough..... regardless of where we live, we all have to endure the wrath of Mother Nature on occasion. It appears we're all conditioned to deal with the disaster we're more likely to encounter, & the others seem worse.

Err....I was going to say..did he move closer to work? He seems to not be making the bulb decisions shake head

Thanks for the heads up on the BO. I have 2 BO items. One I'm going to keep until it ships sometime in June, and the other, I might cancel and then re-BO it after all this madness shake head

How does that blue look? Is it like a nice regular blue? Not hot/bright blue, right?
I do not find Majorelle Blue to be sapphire. To me, sapphire is a rich dark blue. Deep Blue (37G) is more sapphire. Majorelle Blue is two shades lighter than cobalt in my opinion. Still pretty, but the only reason I am not keeping my bottom in Majorelle Blue is because I have too many blue swim pieces: Scuba, Deep Blue, Turquoise, Amalfi Blue, Deep Turquoise, and Spa Blue. Too much, I tell you.

I love black bras! That's actually my go to color for things to be invisible under clothing.
But I guess I like to stay away from sheer clothing. I just don't like sheer in general. But I guess I'm kind of a tee and tank top kinda girl anyway. I like to match nod
Black is my go-to bra color also. It is too difficult to find a nude shade for my skintone.

My French pedis always mess up.

I only do French on my fingers. I don't like color on my hands. I've had them painted some red shade recently and I freaked me out.

Is it clear glitter or colored?
Always colored glitter. I am wearing silver glitter currently. I have a ton of them to try this summer. I only like all-over glitters that cover the entire nail within 3 coats.

Quote from azn1x6flame :
Sounds cute. I don't like glitter maybe cause I get the cheapo kind back in the day and it's scratchy!! And rubs off. Maybe I need new glitter polish
I have worn Sephora by OPI and had great results. I have some China Glaze that I want to try. I have yet to find a drugstroe brand glitter that gives all-over glitter coverage. I do not want to have a colored base, and I do not like the look of my pedi if the glitter is not full coverage.

That is probably the better idea. They hold your packages too.

DH added me to his kohls cc... I checked my credit report a few days ago, and WOW, my credit score improved, it was in the 700's, now it's 800's.. thanks to him adding me to his credit card, and he has a much longer credit history.. his dates back to the early 90's, since his parents added him to one of their cc's... he was only 10 or so when they added him, somehow.. I have no idea how that works, or how that is possible... since I thought you had to be 18yrs old.. but I guess they cosigned.. Dontknow

My parents flat out told me and my siblings, "We will NOT cosign ANYTHING for you".. they reiterated it, and told us to find our own loans.. laugh out loud.. not a bad lesson..
Suze (Orman) always says do not co-sign, but if you want to help your children's credit add them as an authorized buyer without giving them a card. Your credit becomes their credit.

I like that. I will probably do that for my way into the future kids.

Thanks for your thoughts on Majorelle Blue. I agree with what you say about sapphire blue. So it's a nice medium shade blue? Like Cancun Blue [victoriassecret.com]? I don't have many blue swim items. Trying to extend my tastes. Plus, I want to match my lemon bottom so it has to be a nice medium shade of blue otherwise too bright or too stark is Nono

Hm..someone on coupons is saying that there's already full priced NEW swim stuff at 25% off with code "BL" but it's coming up invalid. Scratchchin It better not be the new stuff I just bought!

From my artistic perspective, i interpreted Deep Blue [37G] as another shade of indigo that appears more violet than blue. nod

i have Spa Blue, too. Smilie i skipped Coral Blossom, Purple Punch, & Neon Hot Pink halter bikinis...i own bras + matching panties in Tropical Punch peach, Neon Purple, & Wild Pink. bounce

i don't know what she's talking about. Confused If she's referring to the Spring 2013 Volume 4 Catalogue with the ivory and Citrus Green Dream Angels Bra on the front cover, the few bathing suit pages contain regular prices.

The so-called 'Best' of Summer 2013 Catalogue--(with the Multi-way Bra on the front cover)--has a couple Very Sexy samples from the Swim 2013 Volume 4 Catalogue. Again, full price.

Perhaps she labeled it wrong??? Did she receive a Swim Sale Catalogue of which their best customers are unaware??? Mad
