Anyone have yard sales? I am thinking of having one this summer. It will be my first time.
When I was younger, our family had one.. total disaster.. I was embarrassed, and we only sold a power strip that day for $0.50.. We hadn't done any kind of signs or anything... We thought it'd be so awesome.. not to mention we lived in a secluded area..

Check your home owners association rules if you have one.. sometimes there are limits as to when you can have a yard sale and how many per year..

From then on, I've noticed that the people who have the most visitors at their yard sales, are those that have signs posted along the major intersections closest to the house, with arrow signs, the date and time written LARGELY enough to read, and they also post about it in either the pennysaver, craigslist, or other media sites... Sorting things into piles or boxes with prices marked is always good. I've gone to many yard sales in search of video games.. My favorite was when I bought Clock Tower the original for PS1 as well as 2 other games for $0.25.. sold that game for $23 online... I like the thrill of the hunt.. I don't search for clothes, not that I need them..

I've never had one. People I know that have tried it said it was a lot of work and they didn't make much money. Plus people want to haggle and get stuff for nothing and that annoyed them.

what do you want to get rid of icey?

Icey - The Majorelle Blue bikini bottom is OOS. I don't see it on the site anymore, so I don't think I will be trying that color out.

I see our twin scarf Big Grin That's a nice way to store scarves.

Yes, would love to see more pics when you're done with cleaning.

I was looking at the double string bottom. Do they still have it in other styles? I didn't look
Our scarf! Yea!

The one I purchased is still online, but it also is not on sale. No Sale #SoSad [victoriassecret.com]

It is a community thing that they hold every year, but it is usually on Saturdays so I have never attended or participated. They have sponsors, so they do all the promotion. I have so much stuff. I do not know what people would want to buy. I may not bother with clothing because I do not have a portable clothing rack. I have a lot of toiletries that I could sell, some knick knacks that could be "treasures" to others, stuffed animals and dolls in good condition. I kinda just want to be a part of it because I always miss it. I could draft my bestie to sit with me and people watch.

i got my first loveswim order today. on the breakdown of charges it shows $13.99 shipping charge, but it does not reflect on the total, so the cc charge ends up being correct.

People say the toiletries do well. What kind of dolls and such? Collectors items may do better on ebay. We just had a subdivision yard sale a few weeks ago. I didn't do it though. Community yard sales do draw in a lot of people,

We held one last Friday at my grandma's house. We are selling her stuff because she moved into a nursing home.

If it's a community one, at least you will have a good turnout as long as the weather is nice. You will definitely want someone with you for when it is slow and for when it is busy so that someone can watch the cash box. You would be amazed at the odd things people will buy.

I have no idea what is in this bag of stuffed animals and dolls. I used to collect stuffies, but when I moved into my own home, my friends convinced me to get rid of half. They are still bagged up underneath my dining room table. No need to mention how long I have lived here. #SoSad

I know one is a doll that roller skates by winding her up.

Thanks for that link! I looked at so many pages that had the double string bottoms and nothing! Even in clearance. I guess I will try it after all!

You should participate in that community yard sale. You will probably be able to get rid of a lot of things that way. I've never done one, so I don't know, but hopefully you will get rid of a lot of "junk"

I found it. Every time I have a replacement carrier, my packages are not delivered and no notices are left. And a lot of vulgar language that I will not type here!
