Check your home owners association rules if you have one.. sometimes there are limits as to when you can have a yard sale and how many per year..
From then on, I've noticed that the people who have the most visitors at their yard sales, are those that have signs posted along the major intersections closest to the house, with arrow signs, the date and time written LARGELY enough to read, and they also post about it in either the pennysaver, craigslist, or other media sites... Sorting things into piles or boxes with prices marked is always good. I've gone to many yard sales in search of video games.. My favorite was when I bought Clock Tower the original for PS1 as well as 2 other games for $0.25.. sold that game for $23 online... I like the thrill of the hunt.. I don't search for clothes, not that I need them..

I do not know what people would want to buy. I may not bother with clothing because I do not have a portable clothing rack. I have a lot of toiletries that I could sell, some knick knacks that could be "treasures" to others, stuffed animals and dolls in good condition. I kinda just want to be a part of it because I always miss it. I could draft my bestie to sit with me and people watch.

If it's a community one, at least you will have a good turnout as long as the weather is nice. You will definitely want someone with you for when it is slow and for when it is busy so that someone can watch the cash box. You would be amazed at the odd things people will buy.

You should participate in that community yard sale. You will probably be able to get rid of a lot of things that way. I've never done one, so I don't know, but hopefully you will get rid of a lot of "junk"
