you paid 118 but were refunded 16 for shipping charges. then you returned one item and got back 45, and when you returned the other 2 items from the order you got back 39. the 18 missing comes from the tier (15 off 100) that you had used.
does that make sense to anyone??

i'm gonna let it go bc i can't be bothered to try to figure it out. they spewed a bunch of numbers at me and included a tier and claimed that that was the difference, except it still doesn't make sense. vs sucks... my ban started when i used up my certs.
Exchange/Return to any Express store
Bring the invoice, the merchandise, and the credit card used for the purchase to any Express store. With a valid receipt merchandise returns will be refunded in the method of original payment within 90 days of purchase. A merchandise credit will be issued for returns accompanied by a gift receipt. Please note that we are changing our courtesy exchange policy at Express. Effective as of June 14, 2013, where a valid receipt is not provided or the transaction cannot be verified via a customer credit card or phone number, Express will only allow the exchange of a single piece of merchandise. All other terms that apply to courtesy exchanges remain the same.
We will conduct a courtesy search of our database to locate your original purchase utilizing the credit card information associated with the original transaction or your telephone number. If the information cannot be located we will not be able to process a return.
If we conduct a courtesy search and cannot locate your original purchase, you may make an exchange for merchandise equal to or greater in value. The item you are exchanging will be valued at the current selling price to determine the exchange value. If the exchange is for greater value, you will need to pay the difference. We will not issue a merchandise credit and we will not exchange merchandise for items of lesser value.

I think it may have been last June, but I don't remember. Does anyone else?
Edit: I learned it was June 11, 2012, and the clearance started at 20% off. That may be the next good opportunity to use rewards/birthday coupons.
Edit 2: it went to 30% off June 22
Edit 3: it went to 40% off July 4
