So many good deals! eBay really rocks. I started getting into it for express coupons, but now, when I'm about to buy something big or do something like rent a car, I check for coupons. It's saved me quite a bit of money.
obsessed with ebay. ds is almost 2 and has a lot of polo shirts I bought off there for less than $4 each! I sell too ... DH thinks ebay is too much for me to handle. LOL that is until I sell $100 a month on there (My cheap impusle buys!)

I actually really like this dress. I'll probably wear it again to some other weddings. I just can't imagine paying $265 for a dress other than my wedding dress...

Nope, this is the one where I am a bridesmaid with all of my high school friends : )

I should have updated you guys about my usher situation. I called my fiend, and it took him 2 weeks to call me back (he's doing his internship year as a doctor), and by that time, I couldn't order the dress. Clearly, I was devastated...so now, I'm just wearing a purple dress with a flower. His colors are purple and green. It worked out perfectly.
oh, it's that jenny yoo dress! i love it... i would have used it had it been out (or, at nordstrom) when i was ordering my dresses last year (but it is definitely pricey).

glad the usher business worked out well. Smilie

yea, it is slow. now i get in line first for them to call the people to retrieve my items. then i tell them i'll be back in 10 mins- i go browsing n when i go back it is usually ready.
i've never gone home and then gone back to return stuff...i usually make the decision while i'm there but they aren't too smart when you return online orders for sure. i was returning a pair of pants and the woman scanned my receipt and the item, then told me she can't refund me because i paid "0". It was ridiculous. the receipt clearly stated the price yet she told me i paid 0, which i didn't. Anyway, i told her this is an online return... then she said oh then i'd have to do it differently.
oh ok... well glad i'm not the only one that had issues. i was annoyed last time because i was there, she called for the packages, they all arrived within like 3 minutes of her calling it in... and then i waited at the register for another 30 minutes, staring at my packages, because she was helping someone ORDER SOMETHING ONLINE FOR SHIP TO STORE. uh, yeah - do that at home - don't waste the SA and all the other customers' time! Annoyed plus the other SA didn't even help me - i waited while she helped ALL THE OTHERS IN THE LINE. i swear, i should report that store. Annoyed but i've decided just to never shop there again - from my couple of experiences their quality of clothing is really lacking anyway. it's not worth the headache for me.

Nice deal on the dress! Glad it all worked out for you!

You can probably just sell that BM dress for the price you paid. :n od: I just finally sold my BM dress on the bay for half the price I paid. Glad to be rid of that ill-fitting dress! : )
wait, i thought you liked this dress! and wow you did that fast - i have one i need to sell! i've been lagging on ebaying... i should really get on it.

it's awesome you were able to get it so cheap - but how was it that the seller had both the blue and the plum? Scratchchin did she wear the same dress in 2 colors in 2 weddings?

I had tons too. I wasn't thinking.

I actually forgot something worse.... I actually left the diaper bag... with 2 sippy cups full of milk. Will rot there for two months. Only other thing important there is the small camera I wanted to take for quick pictures, though we brought the big camera. DH and my sister don't get how I would forget that :l ol:
yeah... i have tons but i haven't put any in my purse, silly me. i will hopefully remember to do that soon.

oh no... the sippy cups! EEK! i hate when i forget stuff like that.

Is there another JCP you could go to? I love the ship to store option, but I never pick the packages up. DH & DS haven't complained about a long wait or incompetent employees though. DH complains about VS, so JCP must not be too bad.
i don't think it's worth the trouble for me. there are other JCP's but my close mall is the most convenient. like i mentioned above, i don't think their stuff is great enough for me to go through the trouble of picking up at a farther mall. they might be just as incompetent there also. i'm just done with them altogether.

:wav e2: Heyall - I'm back but busy- the Breast Cancer Fundraiser is tomorrow. I've been having a good chuckle at all the sizing inconsistencies on the Sailor Shorts from Express. Exactly what my experience was so I'm glad I'm not going crazy!

Redwood National Park is beaaaauuuutiful! I would put it up there with the parks in Nevada (Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion) that I love so much. The car mates were lucky there wasn't enough room in the trunk for them . Here's the biggest surprise of them all- while wifezilla was as rude as heck and just wanted to play drinking games and not explore (Yeah, that's why we flew in & drove 7 hours Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) ), husbandzilla (my DH's friend) was the worst! This is our third time camping with him and he has totally changed. Frown I feel bad for my DH, it's definitely not the guy he knew. Neither of them lifted a finger to set up camp, were whiny and totally selfish (hiding things in their tent that they didn't want us to use - paper towel, scissors, knife, hand soap - ugh!). Luckily, he was there to stand next to me while I was loading up the car and direct me. :ma d: It was pouring rain and he said I should take my poncho off (my rain jacket had soaked thru) to cover something wet in the trunk so his pack wouldn't get wet. Sure dude, better your pack stay dry than me..... The two of them were "princesses" and you know how useful those are when you're camping... I'll spare you all the details, but there are some prize nuggets I'll share when I get a chance :l ol:
...
yeah the sailors seem pretty inconsistent in sizing. the trousers are for me too - some i can pull off without unbuttoning and some will stop at my hips (this is what i need) - oh well - i don't need so many anyway.

aren't those parks in Utah?

your camping trip sounds... comically awful. i hope this horrible experience will help your DH to never plan anything with them again.

she's still at work, i couldn't resist, i opened the box. but i didn't open the individual baggies. she has some clearance tops on there, the braided wedge sandals and the lace v-neck top. she also bought some she would send with me or my parents for my sister and sister-in-law back home. there may be things she just ordered to make it to the free shipping.

Thanks again ladies for the good wishes! My interview lasted over 30 minutes, but didn't offer me the position or give me the "we will talk soon" I am a dumb*ss didn't ask how much it paid, LOL, but it's 95% all from home, and I actually don't care as long as it's more than free! I have friends and such who could watch ds if I had to go in for a meeting. It was kinda exciting interviewing! LOL ... well tiem for the weekend and hopefully Happy Hour with moms and kids at an outdoor restaurant! LOL
Don't worry about the interview. It's just giving you practice and setting you up for the next one. nod I think that you could've asked when you will hear back from them, instead of waiting for them to offer that information. I personally don't ask the pay on the first interview. In the past, I personally wait for them to make an offer Smilie I guess I'm a little introverted like that.

The best interviews are the ones I feel that you get excited about nod If anything, it just gives you more interviewing experience.

hehe. I don't actually LIKE the dress. It was the dress I liked the most out of the two that we actually had to make a decision on. I just looked like a giant umbrella for sure! And the V-neck felt like it was ALL THE WAY DOWN THERE. And I had to tape everything up shake head SOOOO glad to be rid of it. I guess I thought it would've been snatched up faster cause it's wedding season, but glad it went as fast as it did!

BTW - those trousers are weird fitting on you! Just so odd. I guess I got lucky.

I see - yeah I feel like BM dresses are always better in concept than in actuality. Glad you were able to sell yours!

The neon blue trouser shorts work for me in 2. I might need a 0 for the black, but I don't want to size down, so I will either have to wear a belt to make sure they don't slide off (hah) or else I'll exchange them. Luckily the neon blue color is very different from that sailor blue so I don't mind having both. Smilie

I have another pair of trouser shorts I got a few years ago from Old Navy that I always considered to be short, and I compared them to the Express ones - they're an inch longer. laugh out loud I'm just oddly conservative that way I suppose... Blush

That's when they mark everything down for clearance. Like SAS, it happens twice a year. The last express one was in the middle if November I think.

i'm going to do one of those customer satisfaction surveys and say how terrible the arcadia store is. they really need to train their SA's better!

Sounds horrific with the zilla's! Sad about DH friend though, eh some get lost to thier wives (which makes you think ...I will leave the R-rated out of this Turtle ) But I will have to put that park on my list of places to see! I need to get on it and plan for Yosemite so very soon!

Thanks again ladies for the good wishes! laugh out loud From what I heard Turtle was no good... I think he was just ready to be married and it didn't matter whom it was.
Yes, go! It's a long way from SoCal, but the drive to and through the park is so easy, not scary at all (it's not mountain driving - has lots of lanes, not very many switchbacks). We saw Redwood Trees (#3 largest in the world, they won't tell you which one #1 or #2 are), Banana Slugs, giant ferns, Osprey (cool looking bird), Grey Whales (2 pair of momma and baby), largest heard of Elk in the world...neat stuff. I guess they filmed parts of Jurassic Park there!
Congrats on scoring the interview, crossing my fingers you get the call saying you got the job soon!

Yeah, I have the trousers in white, seafoam and tan - I'm sizing up on the tan only. Sailors - my linen ones get so stretched out by the end of the day... regular colors don't seem as bad. I picked up the black in Size 2, the legs/waist fit perfectly but it kinda hits the kibble&bits. Don't know what to do with those sailors... Crazy

Yes, ma'am... they're in Utah, not Nevada Stick Out Tongue

Comically awful sounds spot on accurate laugh out loud I sure hope so. DH was most mad at his friend, especially for things like - complaining about being car sick but refusing to

1) roll down the window "pfft, is the air coming from the vents not fresh?"
2) take dramamine (I had a less-drowsy formula) "I don't want to be drowsy" - so you'll sleep in the car or be sick, your choice, but if you're not going to do it then Shutup
3) drink ginger ale "I don't need that sugar"
4) sit in the front seat "that won't help"
5) turn the air on cooler "then I will get cold" - he set the backseat air at 78 deg.
Instead he asked us to drive slower...
