fwiw i think their inventory system has gotten a LOT better. i haven't had a cancelled item for awhile now... i think it updates a lot quicker.

Do you have to donate in order to walk? I never understood these things. Can't you just walk because you want to support?

The fundraising minimum is $1800 for the Avon Walk. There is a "volunteer" level of $500. My mom was disgusted by this when she heard about it, but she doesn't get it. If there were no barrier to walking, everyone would do it and the event would cost more money to put on than it would raise for grants and such. Once we got to the walk last year, DH understood what it meant to everyone there and since he had been helping us train, wanted to just write the $1800 check right there and join. He refused to walk with us part way, saying, "every person walking represents at least $1800 for the cause - I don't want to take away from that." You can see why I truly believe he is my better half
Thanks! Hahaha, funny you say artistry. I was thinking about the 3 other people in my studio art class from HS... 1 is a mural painter, 1 is a cartoonist/animator, another is a drag queen and then there's me... naughty dessert creator!
