i have my grandmother's antique sewing machine. it's got it's own little table and one of those pretty metal things at the bottom. i love it. i need to bring it up here. it's being kept for me in alabama.

DH's parents have one of those machines that folds and it becomes a table... it's sitting abandoned in the corner of a room with a bunch of junk piled all over and around it.. MIL said that it doesn't work, I don't have the balls to tinker with it.. don't want to get involved with fixing their things..

You didn't ask me but since bras are so light, at ~$5 for the FR envelope, there's a cheaper way to do it with USPS First Class. I re-use my white VS resealable return bags :cover laf: My only real expense here is packing tape and paper for a label. I haven't had a complaint on bag-reuse yet... I mean you're selling used here, so the expectation should be that they picked up an awesome find at a GoodWill or something :l ol:

I :he art: those flat rate padded envelopes. They take so long to arrive in the mail when I order more of them from the USPS website. I use them to send things that are very heavy.. Save a bunch of money and it arrives fast.



First class mail is the best way to ship bras. I don't spend ANY money on packaging supplies except for Scotch heavy duty tape I get at Costco when they're on sale. I get free air padding from all my amazon orders and I save all those lightweight hard to open white plastic VS baggies. I feel like they also give my used bras more authenticity since I'm shipping them in a VS bag. I make sure the VS address is prominent when I stick my mailing label. Also, a USPS postal scale (less than $15) is worth it if you're shipping alot. You can save $1+ on each order by shipping USPS First Class with your postal scale and weighing them. Ebay gives a discount on shipping, plus tracking is included in the price.

Also, you know that plastic insert when you buy one piece swimsuits at the store (Costco in particular)... You can SAVE THAT! I use one of those to take pictures of used bras. Pics come out awesome. I've noticed higher auction end prices since I started taking good pictures of my items..

Update on the camping trip with newlywedszilla: After we got back last month, trip expenses were tallied and divided it up amongst everyone. We never heard anything from them, but finally got a check in the mail on Friday. Now get this...not only is it 2 weeks late, it's also $50 short :fac epalm:. No note explaining it or anything. When asked, they said decided that they didn't eat as much food as we did, so they cut out the shopping trip where we bought the propane and dry goods we all used. :cens ored: So... we were just supposed to eat $50? We had already paid the other guy so now we have to get some money back from him???? We fronted almost $600 for the trip, not including our flights. F#@%Q$%holes.

They also said they didn't feel like they were being heard during planning and therefore hesitated to speak up during the trip. WTF? They wouldn't shut up and roll with anything, the whole trip was a constant fight with their nagging. If that's hesitating to speak up, then I'd hate to see no hesitation. :sh ake: I'm pretty sure they're confusing "not being heard" with not getting their way.

I ship mine using the padded flat rate envelopes, I love to ship almost anything in them. On eBay you can get a discounted shipping rate, and you can have the mail carrier come right to your house if you ship priority. But the envelopes are taking forever to get to me. I need to ship out a clothing auction someone won on fri., hoping the envelopes would get here Sat. No luck in that wishful thinking. :/ the items would fit in the envelope and save me $5 in shipping. Oh wells, spending more to ship out in the am.
