In the last 13 days, I've consumed almost 30 Vicodin. Today I left a request with the doctor to refill it, but at a higher dosage. Let's see if he allows it: a) at all, and b) at the higher dosage.

Yeah, normally I only take this stuff for one or two days following surgery/injury, then deal with the decreasing pain afterwards. The problem with sciatica is the pain/burning doesn't decrease nearly as quickly as an injury. The damned nerve just keeps on burning and aggravating, despite any stretching or flexing or anything else I do.

Edit: This is also the first time in my life I have *ever* asked for a refill of hydrocodone.

Fentanyl? That shit's seriously dangerous. (seriously.) Transdermal pain meds are also well-known for erratic delivery rates, depending on the individual. At least with Vicodin/hydrocodone/Norco/Lortab (geez, does it have enough names?) I can control/adjust my dosage as necessary.

The other bad thing about fentanyl is its very short duration of effect. It's often prescribed in combination with other longer-term analgesics, usually opioids. In my case, I need a long-duration effectiveness. Vicodin gives me about three hours of relief, currently.

I worked out today. The trainer had on a padded body piece that I got to continously punch. That shiz tired me out!!!

I had a chicken taco salad for lunch.

I put some chicken thighs in the crockpot with cumin, buillon, paprika, Goya seasoning and garlic then I shredded it. Put some lemon juice on it and holy crap drool
