I envy you. Truly, I do.

I'm making the red beans today. I went to the grocery to get onion, celery, bell pepper and dried red kidney beans. Instead, I found pre-chopped mirepoix (onion, celery, carrot) and tri-color bell pepper for $2.50 each and grabbed them quickly. I don't mind chopping veggies, but I hate having too many/much leftover veggies in the fridge. (Yeah, yeah, I know Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)) I chopped half a piece of turkey tasso (heavily smoked turkey thigh) and sauteed it with the veggies in chicken broth and red wine and seasonings. The red beans are soaking, the veggies are waiting, and they'll get married together in another hour or two. Then they'll boil until the beans are ridiculously tender and the broth is thickened. We'll serve it over the leftover dirty rice from earlier in the week.

I had two of them in the freezer. I used half of one. I love the smokey flavor they provide.

not as much, these things ebb & flow. mostly into cuisinart & blendtec.

for my vegan cakes, i've just been hand mixing with a flexi spatula

The organization part. It's never been in my nature to stay organized, no matter how hard I try. Sadwalk
