Seems like the heating element on the dryer is toast. Found a W/D set on CL I plan to call about tomorrow for $60. Measured the back of the Jeep, I think they should both fit in there.
Of course, the hatch itself hasn't been opening for a week or two, so I had to go out tonight and figure that out. The rod that actually releases the hatch when you pull the handle had worked itself completely out from the thingy that's supposed to hold it. I put it back and used pliers to tighten the holder.

It gets so, so much worse.

So, I'm not even on call today but I got a call from work. Shocker! It's a guy who's in a semi-supervisory position to me, otherwise I probably would've ignored him. He's not my boss but he sort of ranks me I guess, since he's a "team leader" and I'm just a senior network administrator. Whatever.

He's calling, allegedly, about one of my clients. Except the message he left me referenced someone who doesn't work for any of my clients. The last name is the same as one of the partners at another client, however. I start sorting through this with him and:

(a) he's written down the client's company wrong;
(b) he doesn't know his login for the Hosted Exchange portal we use for this client;
(c) he hasn't ever used that Hosted Exchange system, nor ever interacted with it, in the entire four years he's worked for my company.

So why is he taking after-hours calls in light of (c) you may ask? He's not sure. In any case now it's become my job to help him unfark all of this since he has no idea what he's doing in the portal anyway.

I told him I'm busy and gave him my login for the portal (after changing my pwd) and if I can help by phone AND I'm available I will. This is preposterous, how is this guy supervising a "team" of techs from my company and he can't even log in to a portal we use to host email for over half of our clients?
