I don't do a lot these days as far as work. I have my own IT company, but I don't see it lasting very much longer in its present form. I think I'm going to concentrate on my web hosting and let the other stuff more or less drop.

Ok, so I just finished book 7. Easily better than book 6. Also, I've figured out a way to keep my sanity: When there's dialog going on and after the quotes I see a huge slab of text describing everything in the room for the 50th time, I skip over it. Made for much better reading.

I have to say, this book and the last book so far seem completel unnecessary. All he seems to do is add new characters and add new, every more frustrating conflict. Frustrating because a farm boy out on his own for what, 2 years? can figure out how to take over and rule 3 major cities in the world, but he can't figure out how to deal with women? That's everyone's story. They can all figure out things lost for 3000 years, but when it comes to the opposite sex, they're dumber than a box of rocks on the short bus. SO ANNOYING!

Anywho, I'd like to know what made you cry in Ebou Dar. For me, I got a bit teary when Mat offered the medallion and Elayne figured out what a fool she's been. Very touching.

Book 8 goes along with 6-7. It picks back up in 9- except for Perrin and Faile- those two continue to get on my nerves.
The six story massacre in the Rahad- when the gholam rips out N's throat- it just happened so fast - I wasn't expecting one of Mat's cool side kicks to go down. That bastard gholam Ranting
Characters don't die so much in WoT- especially 'good guys' laugh out loud - this was Nalsean!! Not some random mercenary Crying

Yeah, I could see that. He was a cool character and I really didn't think they'd kill him off. It's hard to get emotional about that stuff, though, because the main characters seem to just take most death in stride. They rail about how horrible it is, but Mat loses 2 men and he's upset because Nynaeve didn't tell him. Again, it's like they all grow up by leaps and bounds in some areas in a completely unrealistic sense, but then they can't handle some of the most juvenile things.

Hey Wiles check out this article about the guy who founded Bikram yoga:

http://www.details.com/culture-tr...table=true

Quote :
"Choudhury has other quirks too. He says he eats a single meal a day (chicken or beef, no fruit or vegetables), drinks only water and Coke, and needs only two hours of sleep a night. Then there are the stories about him having sex with his students. When I ask him about this, he doesn't deny it—he claims they blackmail him: "Only when they give me no choice! If they say to me, 'Boss, you must fark me or I will kill myself,' then I do it! Think if I don't! The karma!"
Roll

That guy's an asshole but you gotta love his attitude!

This changes nothing for me btw. I still love the practice even if the founder's a dickbag.

This loss seems to affect Mat more than most. I'm glad he still has Talmanes- and I think Talmanes gets cooler to pick up the Band's slack later laugh out loud Freaking Gawyn gets on my nerves constantly.

Elaine gets me with her petulant behavior too, but I guess even with what growing up they've done, most of these characters are still young. Take over countries? Check. Face the Forsaken? Check. Say thank you to your friend? Faint Nono

Crylol It's the Karma!

Yeah, sounds like a d-bag, but an innovative one. I don't think I'd want to spend time with him personally, but I'm thankful he came up with the practice.

Well, I am thinking of going back if that helps. I'll just be the weird older guy who isn't afraid to sit in the front and answer questions.

Yeah, I'll want to go to school here.

Oh, and the more time goes on the more I hate Faile. I thought what she did to get into the Ways was unforgivable, but I actually let that go after the Two Rivers Battle. But now I kinda want her dead. I never understood jealous women and the men who put up with them (next on Jerry Springer.)
