I see a Mercedes turbodiesel has popped up, available for a song, so I started looking at the various biodiesel/WVO options to see if I should consider it. I'm surprised how controversial running them on straight waste vegetable oil is (because you can, when it's warm enough). I suppose the "road tax" that you're not paying if you're just running on WVO is a somewhat valid concern, but I haven't seen people spewing this kind of vitriol at electric car drivers. Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.
