It's trash to them, so theoretically they'd give it to me, but I don't know for sure. I'd still have to at least filter it.

All done, possibly some flurries today. The weather guy in Omaha claimed my area got 6" but it sure looks like more to me. I'll probably measure when I go out there to re-clear the sidewalk and stuff.

They probably already pay someone to pick it up. I'm certain some brain-dead local health regulations somehow forbid them giving it away to individuals, precisely to prevent said individual from avoiding the OTR (over-the-road) taxes imposed on Big Oil Corp's diesel products.

It seems some of the more forward-thinking states require bio-diesel manufacturers (including individuals) to report their production and pay taxes (at a lower rate, generally).

I try to convince my boss to pay for me to go to Vegas for a conference where they will also be doing a class and another exam on the spot, or I try to scrape the money together to take it again.

The way my brain works. I'm the type of person that talks something out or draws it out. To make matters worse, this test is more specialized in that it's really easy if you work in this environment but not another environment. It's like "Here's this scenario. Which of the following answers best fits the scenario?" And then they give you 4 of the same options with only one minor difference, and each option contains the keywords from the definition. Technically, only one is wrong, and the rest depend on how you relate to the scenario. It's bollox because there's more than one right answer, but the only answer considered right is the one the test maker had in mind based on his/her view of the scenario. That's not something that can be known.

whoa that's a pretty annoying test. I believe that if you practice enough, and figure out how those damn test writers/scorers THINK about the question, you can train yourself to bulb it Whee

I don't think I'd go with biodiesel, with the reading I've done, I'm thinking I'd be satisfied to just run 20-40% filtered WVO straight in the tank for starters. Still more reading to do of course, and nothing would keep me from just running on regular diesel until I decide. Reports are varying, but it looks like I might expect 10MPG over what I'm currently getting driving the Jeep as-is, which is my minimum target.

Old school VWs were the same way. When I first got my Beetle, the cushions were all deteriorating, and I spent a good while in it with a shop vac cleaning it out. Restuffed the driver's seat with some foam, and it was comfy enough.

Can I believe that this was excess hair from horse's grooming being repurposed instead of destroyed? And the groomers have them massaged before the haircut?

I've seen some old diesel VW Rabbits converted to use WVO. They'd start the engine with conventional diesel and run it until it was warmed up enough, then use a relay/solenoid/valve arrangement to flip the fuel lines over to the WVO tank. Drive behind 'em and smell the french fries and filet-o-fish!
