I wonder if anyone is going to complain at me.
A few weeks ago someone pestered me for the RCA on an issue that happened in early February. I responded that the tech that rebooted the server already put the RCA in the ticket. Then I removed the assignment to myself so I wouldn't have to keep looking at it. Today I get an email saying that the tech didn't put an "official" RCA in the ticket, and I need to provide one. So I copied and pasted the error message from the tech's entry, pasted it in as my response, and hit send. I put quotes around it too.

I do that stuff all of the time. It's why people leave me alone now. You can't help it if you're right, but you can sure laugh about proving them wrong.

Picked up a reconditioned battery and put it in. This one actually fills the battery tray!
The guys in the shop were all confused, because I brought in a 36R (which is 10 3/8" by 7 1/4" by 8 1/8"), and was asking for a 49 (15" by 6 7/8" by 7 3/16"). I told them they were welcome to grab a tape measure and check the battery tray, and by gosh, I was right.
They had to call the head guy/owner/whoever too, because they weren't sure if they could give me the full core price since I wasn't giving them the same type of battery (he told them to go ahead).

I did get a response with some Word documents of other RCAs, apparently there's some kind of template they use for this, but I've never filled one out in six years of being here, which leads me to believe it's somebody else's farking job.
Then I got another response that upon another review, since it was a hardware fault, it wasn't my responsibility...
