I'm so farking glad the weekend is finally here. nod
Dude you deserve a great weekend. You've really had some shit these past two weeks. I've been praying for you every morning hoping for either reprieve or relief.

MB update follows:
My dash lights work, and my fuel/temp gauges are fully operational Whee
I don't have all the stuff I need to fix the rheostat, but rather than doing as some people do and just soldering a jumper across those connections, I made a wire jumper, and put the rheostat back in over it.
I think I've either fixed or at least located the leak in my wiper fluid reservoir. And it turns out I have three aluminum wheels, and one steel wheel--so I'm trying to track down one or two more aluminum wheels (since I currently have no spare, but I'd be fine with the steel one as a full-size spare). I put in an offer on more hubcaps. Checked my flex discs, I think they're fine, but will probably still replace them this year just to be on the safe size, since it's only 80 bucks and a few hours, and if the front one goes, it could be very bad, for myself, my transmission, or my driveshaft.
Pulled the door panel for the left passenger door to monkey with the window, seems likely the regulator lost a tooth, but at least with the panel off, I was able to put it up fully to where it should stay in position. Vacuumed the interior. Used the Goo Gone and a bit of elbow grease to get the last of the sticker off. If I hadn't had gunk all over my hands, I would have taken a pic for chewy, it was kinda neat the way the word "Jesus" still showed up through the adhesive residue. Took it for a wash since I ended up getting some dirt and grease on it over the course of the last week.
It was nice out today, over 60 degrees, and I've noticed that that it actually turns heads. By the time I'm done with it, it will be worth probably hundreds of dollars more than I spent on it laugh out loud

It's funny, they all said that the dash lights weren't particularly bright even when working and turned all the way up... they weren't kidding. But they're better than pitch dark. And now they're fixed just in time for me to not need them on account of DST and longer evenings Prop

I had a good night. Yawn Breakfast was fresh hashbrowns and eggs laid yesterday. I'm headed over to Egg Man's a little later. Tonight we are ordering wings and pizza since the oldest is out of town (he eats more than both of us combined). Somewhere in there I'll take a nap.

I finally found a digital copy of The Chekist. Up until now all I could find was a VHS copy on ebay.

You, frog, are a mechanical genius. I'm envious.
