DD-WRT? Dontknow
Yup, that's what's on ye olde Netgear that's working right now. I read a few people complaining about the RT-N16 not properly negotiating, regardless of what firmware they tried.

Good tip about the pickles! Have you tried the Claussens yet? Those things are pretty dang spicy too!
Nope, we've still got 3/4 of a bottle of those square-headed pickles left. Wife has been seriously enjoying the extra heat since I cut the peppers in half. laugh out loud

I went up to my local watering hole and talked to my bartender friend tonight. He said that the spark plugs going bad on just one side is likely a fuel injection thing, and the reason they said $180 is because that's the cost of 3 spark plugs/wires and a fuel injection cleaning, along with crazy expensive labor. Does that sound more reasonable?

He also said to get the bad plugs/wires from them. Doing that will help give me peace of mind, knowing they're really in need of fixing.
If they're going to do it, and they're going to use genuine Honda parts fine. But check the itemized costs and make sure the plugs are $20 TOTAL, not each. Etc on the rest. If it's like your friend says (I didn't know that about only one side going bad) then yeah, better to have Honda take care of it. But make sure you have a bill that states what it is they're doing so if it goes wrong again, you can tell them it's their fault and they better fix it free.

Quote from Frogstar :
It's not too hard to check if the wires are the problem, though.

Well, I'm not reading the book, I'm reading MB stuff laugh out loud
Ah. Well just know that the MB book is better than that movie.

Well, this farking Asus RT-N16 router is going back to J&R, from whence it came, only two months ago. I've completely reset and reloaded the firmware on it, and it still refuses to connect to the damned cable modem. The modem is okay, because if I connect my laptop directly to it, I get internet. I pulled the Asus router, and re-installed my backup Netgear router. Damn, but that's TWICE this old horse has saved my ass, in less than six months. WTF is up with Asus quality these days? This was previously the most highly-rated router available. Annoyed
I know this is stuff you prolly did, but could it be that the router has to clone the Computer's MAC and also send login info through the modem?

It's cookies they keep on your computer while you're shopping. They read 'em back and compose the e-mail messages using them. Google is wicked sharp about this, too.
SD has it on their banners too

Nope, no MAC cloning necessary, and no login info, either. The modem's MAC address is authorized with TWC (those bastids!) and they assign an IP address to it, just fine. The modem is awfully particular about MAC addresses, but turning it off and waiting about five minutes is all it takes for it to learn a new MAC.

I tried a different Netgear router (WNDR3300) with DD-WRT, and it wouldn't auto-negotiate very well, either. I've got a different modem coming next week and it's supposed to have the latest firmware installed, unlike this POS I got from RatShack that's a few years out of date.

I'll work on that after I get the air print going Annoyed
I hate wires
This is 2013 for fark's sake. I thought all printers were wireless if you could AirPrint on them. Nono I have to get an Ethernet Cable and plug the printer into the router. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

And no I don't have one laying around. Mad

Just dropped off my CTS for her inaugural brake job. Sniff, sob. It was just five years ago I got her. They grow up soooo fast...

Well, this is the second RT-N16 that's flaked out on me. I re-capped the first one after two years because it was out of warranty. It worked for several more months then started being flaky with a completely different cable modem. They've always provided good quality products for me in the past, but I'm really starting to wonder about their routers, now. Mad

That said, I've got an Asus motherboard coming in next week for my wife's new desktop computer build. I sure hope it doesn't have any unexpected issues. The last time I was building three different desktop systems, I used Shuttle motherboards, and they outlasted the higher-priced Intel P4 mobo I used in my personal desktop. That one developed a bunch of bad capacitors in a seriously quick way. I wound up throwing it out and still have the old Shuttle sitting on a shelf.

FYI, I'm grooving to a collection of live Otis Redding right now. Seriously funky and fun stuff.
I've always rated Asus up there with Emachines . . . . perhaps I was wrong. Scratchchin

I have GOT to remember to try the spicy pickles this year. I've always done traditional dill pickles. I put the cukes in the ground the weekend before last I think.

Short of evacuating all the oil through the dipstick, I'm not sure there's any way for me to take the oil filter off the Chrysler without covering my hand in oil. I had to buy a different filter wrench too, naturally the one that fits the Jeep is too big.
I did that 3M fuel treatment I got from Amazon beforehand, it does seem to have smoothed out the idle, and I think the throttle feels a little smoother too. That plate was dirty.
