Well, I can still feel my eye bothering me, but it's not been hurting anything like yesterday. I was going to get out and mow the lawns at midday, but the neighbors had company visiting for lunch on their back patio, so I waited.

Instead, I repaired a $50 "as is" amplifier I bought from eBay a few weeks ago. It had a broken speaker connection and "no sound". As soon as I opened it up, it was obvious why there was no sound -- one of the two main power supply capacitors was broken loose from the board. I'd guess whoever banged it hard enough to break the speaker connection also knocked that capacitor loose. A new speaker connection cost $5 at Radio Shack, and it only took five minutes to solder the capacitor back into place. It took longer than that just to disassemble and re-assemble the whole thing. It sells for $250 to $300 in working condition, so if I decide to re-sell it, I've made at least $200, quite a slick deal, IMHO.

I got called up on stage for one of the juggler's tricks, I was a reasonably entertaining volunteer. The kids got a kick out of that. A couple people said something to me afterward when they saw me walking around.
It turns out there is another festival next Saturday near Lincoln, it says it's the 16th annual, but I don't think I've heard of it before.

I think it's a mix, but mostly regional (Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri).
