Kinda. Was it mean of me to put it that way? He is looking for long term, and so am I, but when I look into my future, I don't picture him in it.

She's never been very knowledgeable about my work. When someone asks her, she always says "something with computers" and their eyes glaze over and the topic changes to something else, entirely. Considering her tendency to jump to ridiculously wild extremes given any change in circumstances, I've kept her in the dark about my work changes. She'd be certain to think it's something I caused, instead of understanding it to be a typical bonehead corporate decision by my client.

Oh, you know, just doing some grocery shopping.

Speaking of "my splendid child" stories, yesterday Z (the ten year old) was making crutches for one of her Monster High dolls (I don't know, she was just doing something to entertain herself), and she was using toothpicks for part of it. Well, one of them fell off the TV tray she was using at some point, and I managed to get it stuck in the bottom of my foot. I was surprised that no cuss words came out
After some random gibberish sounds, I looked at what was causing such great pain, saw the toothpick sticking out of my heel, and said "Well, isn't that joyous".

Can I hide with you?

I have watch some episodes of Star Trek, only cause we didn't have cable and it was the only thing to watch on Saturdays. I have never watch any of the Star Wars movies completely, just bits and pieces.

If I had my druthers (don't you love Southern slang?) I'd throw them to the wolves, last week. But my boss in Los Angeles is very protective of the application, because it generates millions of dollars in credit transactions for their customers, every day.

My employer has a totally wonderful and amazingly special kind of Hell awaiting me when my current assignment is done. Unfortunately, it means I won't be here to PW nearly as much, at least for the first few months.

Can I hide with you?

This morning B asked me why I was so beautiful and kind. I love that kid.

How was your mother's day? I spent the whole day with my family which was awesome!

He is a nice guy, he even gave me a mother's day present. It was a wooden frame that said "the girls" on it. He even downloaded a picture of my girls from my FB page to put in it.

Problems:
1. He works every weekend. I would like to be able to go on small getaways and I wouldn't be able to with him.
2. he has his kids the opposite weekends as me, so that would require one of us to get a babysitter in order to see each other.
3. He has one week of vacation that is already scheduled for a trip to DC with his kid.
4. he lives 45 minutes away, in a small town of 250 people. In the opposite direction that I normally drive.
5. I like him, but I don't feel anything extra for him.
6. He likes to pet me. Like every time he puts his hand on me, he has to stroke my arm. He just can't hold my hand, he has to rub it.

First text message was: "thanks again. I know you don't see this as long term but til you find the one your looking for i am ok with keeping short term going if you are...."

Later on he asks " what part of me dont you like? or is it just a feeling you got?" which I couldn't answer cause I was moving furniture for my mom.

Then he says "so I'm thinking telling you how much I like you so fast probably scare you." Me = that's not it.

So I gave him reasons #1 & #2

Then he says he is going switch weekends with ex and he is going to leave the TV business and start up his own handyman/construction business. I'm like, I don't want you to switch jobs for me. He says it's not for me but because he needs weekends. I told him that construction = weekends, I've been there, done that. He didn't believe me.

Then he says "oh and btw I would do anything for you and to keep you in my life one way or another." "I thought you were starting to fall for me"

I say " this is why I am worried about doing short term with you. you are already too attached and I don't want you to get hurt. I've been on the other sided before and I know how it feels"

We have been dating for not quite a month yet.

I wonder if "I would do anything for you" was his Hail Mary. I have to imagine some women would think it was sweet, after a month... and the rest go look up what you need to do to get a restraining order.
