i told R that i had a present for him, and asked if we could get together tonight so i could give him the present.

he said yes, and we proceeded to make plans. i'm meeting him in an hour for dinner/drinks, and then....

so he just texted me and said, "i hope you wrapped the present. half the fun is unwrapping it!"
