Yes, I did this and it was no problem whatsoever. I gave all of the information to my attorney and he put it into the affidavit.
You do realize that once you file and retain an attorney she can retain an attorney and request in the settlement that YOU pay her court costs and attorney fees. Now, her finding an attorney that will take her case without a retainer is another story, so she will probably end up with some dirt bag.
I suppose then I'd just need to stop providing what financial support I am currently and put it aside to pay those costs...

Another thing to document is when she left. That was the dumbest thing she could have done. If she wanted to posture herself for custody SHE should have stayed in the marital home WITH the GIRLS. Since she did not that is considered abandonment. We are a no-fault divorce state so it doesn't matter on that end, but it will hurt her case in regards to custody and visitation.
Where do the girls spend the majority of their time in the marital home or her new place? Document this as well.

If you end up with joint custody but the girls spend more time at the marital home, she might face paying you child support. I know that only works if she actually had a paying job. However, if she is unemployed and is deemed as able bodied to work, the court will expect her get a job in order to contribute to expenses of raising the children.
The whole thing is complicated.
