Well it was on the porch but he went back o his car after he told me he was calling the authorities. They never showed and he ended up leaving. Methinks the authority he called was his scumbag attorney who most likely told him that he was not within his rights.

I was all for him seeing the kids, but when he tells me he's taking them to his house, sorry no can do.

Now my plan of grocery shopping this afternoon has been postponed. Annoyed

Yeah, Fathers Day dinner at my parents sucks.


They decided to 'start' dinner and cook half of the food and leave the rest for me to prepare. Now I've hosted dinner many times, and to me, the idea is to properly time everything so that dinner components are all ready at the same time Dontknow Result- steak and potatoes are done- they never grilled the corn I prepped- and lobsters were frozen. Stress Dads throwing a hissy fit because I told him boiling is in fact not steaming and who would boil a lobster vomit

I'm trying to be as polite as possible but my dad really is an ass.

Oh, the strawberry cobbler was very good, and went well with the vanilla ice cream. Because I'm such a picky chef, I really wish I had put pastry beneath the strawberry filling as well as on top. I also wish I had thickened the filling with more corn starch. It was a bit thin, but it was still tart and delicious.
