VF, what's a good dessert to take to the lake that will withstand the Texas heat?

All I can think of would be an ice cream dish, that's been frozen for about a week before you take it up there. If not that, maybe lemon ice and/or frozen lemonade treats?

Thoroughly impressed with the guy that owns/runs the string instrument place. Thoroughly.
Site says $35 for same-day inspections. He just walked me to his inspection bench and we chatted while he checked the guitar out. Ultimately told me to change the strings (which he'd let me pay him to do if I really wanted) and play it some more and see if it just needs more breaking in. Then if necessary, maybe give the frets a light filing and possibly lower the action a hair. No charge.
So I told him about my plans to customize my Breedlove, and he said to bring it in and we can brainstorm.
Doh
Should have taken a pic or two of the place. It's very fitting for what it is, IMO.

I really liked theirs when I had it.

So, you ran by there at lunch, or he was actually there last night?

Psh.

7zip requires you to gain a program, as well.

The sheer advantage of TC over 7zip is that you don't have to deal with archives and extracting/repacking them. It's like you just have another flash drive plugged in and you can do whatever you want to the filesystem. When you're done, unmount. Plus, that whole military-grade encryption thing.

Lunch. Technically I was there five minutes before he opened, but the door was open.

You can password protect an archive with no compression nod
If fits within a known paradigm. And it's enough of a PITA to crack a ZIP file to discourage any casual snooping (FWIW, I've never successfully cracked one, but it's plausible more efficient methods of doing so now exist).

7zip is a must have for any of my boxes anyway.

Can you edit files while in an archive, though? That would be my biggest thing.

FTR, I don't use either (but I have used both before, so things may have changed or not been apparent to me). If I have something I want encrypted, I go with Knox, which I got for free ages ago. Kinda like TC, only it uses OS X's built-in disk encryption mechanism and provides a friendly front-end.

Iagree

It's usually installed on my Windoze and Linux systems. But I don't think we're casual computer users, either. Wink

Roll I'm familiar with the glazed-over look.

Like when I'm trying to explain to my employer why version control is a must.
