Yeah, she's still there. And I'm not doubting she was still drunk, I'm almost certain she was. I just think it's a little weird they'd have an arraignment when the defendant probably shouldn't be considered competent. Again, not much experience with the system, though...

well I know the system varies from state to state, but here, the preliminary hearing is just for the District Justice to determine if there is enough evidence to send the person to the county court for the next step of the legal process. So her competency there prolly wasn't much of an issue. Just a 2-5 minute hearing to move the paperwork along.

I bet her mug shot is a dandy Faint

though when I worked at the courthouse it was pretty common for defendents to show up for court buzzed/drunk because they wanted 1-2 to take the edge off before facing the judge and kept going OMG
