Rain should be changing to snow in a few hours...first snow of the season. woot

They're expecting around 3" (twss Frown )...maybe more, maybe less.

Ice everywhere still here. Dog's not happy about having to go outside. She walks gingerly on the grass, and keeps slipping on the road. But I haven't fallen on my ass once! woot

Hurray for the small victories in life! woot In my neck of the woods, all ice on the road and the neighborhood mailing list is excited about the fact that a salt truck made it to the neighborhood overnight for the first time in several years. LMAO Our tax money actually bought us a (probably one-time) winter city service this year. woot

That's odd. Some longtime friends of my family are from Giddings and they were all fun-loving, practical jokers.

I wish y'all could send us some snow. It's warm and really humid here. We have had the windows open for a few days and I thought we were going to have to turn the AC on today.

It was kind of nice with such a warm winter last year, but we paid for it with more bugs last summer. Though at least we don't get many mosquitoes here.

We have had a few heavy frosts and a couple of hard freezes, but we need more. We have had so much rain that the skeeters are already out. We need a good heavy freeze that lasts for a few days. There are some other bugs that could stand to :have their herd thinned:

Had about two inches of snow this morning. Of course with it being Seattle, chaos ensued. School bus crash and a MS bus crash (no injuries), several city buses and MS buses stuck blocking roads, schools closed, etc. Whee

Even the couple of inches that would cause chaos here like it does in the Northwest.
Forecast is for record highs this weekend - upper 60s tomorrow, low 70s Sunday.
