Well you can call her Strike Three cuz she is outta here!
The U-Haul came this morning. Since he doesn't want to tell his friends about me (she was told to lie and say she's been divorced for a couple of years), it was only him, her and me to load up the truck. I had all the boxes and furniture in the garage. Only the pictures and breakable stuff were in the house. I helped him load up the U-Haul (and we packed it full) without so much as a Thank You.
She has a real winner there.

I know that was painful for you. You behaved like a gentleman, and because you did not have an outburst, you will forever be remembered by both your children, and by her, as a wonderful person...and by her, as the one she gave up...what she can never get back.
Trust me. I think that's how my mother always felt about my father. I love my mother, but the bane of her existence is having given up my father, whom I remember as gracious, kind, and the bigger man. He went on to have wonderful relationships. My mother can't have a working relationship with even a halfway decent man, because she feels completely unworthy of anyone worthwhile, because of what she did to my father. (At least, that's the way I read it. They've never told me anything about what actually happened. I have no idea why they really got divorced. I can only guess, based on their behavior.)
I'm proud of you for being the bigger man...that whole situation could have gone VERY differently, and I'm glad for your sake that it didn't.
