LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Thousands of police officers throughout Southern California and Nevada hunted Thursday for a former Los Angeles officer who was angry over his firing and began a deadly shooting rampage that he warned in an online posting would target those on the force who wronged him, authorities said.
Disgruntled ex-LAPD officer writes a manifesto detailing how (allegedly) the LAPD is corrupt. He then starts a war with LAPD. He's rather specific with the (alleged) corruption details in his manifesto.

Apparently, the LAPD has already shot up at least two vehicles "matching the description" of the ex-cop's vehicle. The LAPD is randomly shooting up suspected vehicles (and people!)? What?
Quote :
Los Angeles officers guarding a "target" named in the posting shot and wounded multiple people in Torrance who were in a pickup but were not involved, authorities said. The extent of their injuries was not released. It's not clear if the target is a person or a location.

The Daily Breeze in Torrance also reports (http://urlhasbeenblocked/YWhBLi ) that there was another police shooting nearby involving another pickup truck, but the driver wasn't hurt.
Here's the manifesto:

Now they are saying they found a wallet with his drivers license in the cabin ....how did that survive the fire? I thought he dropped his wallet at the marina where he tried to take that boat....
He, uh, uh, stopped at the DMV to get a replacement on the way to Big Bear. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I guess the sixth amendment doesn't apply anymore.

And no mention of family members pleading fr him to give up....was he a total loner?

And every pic i have seen shows a smiling military man....no grim photos or even the standard DL photo that i am sure the police have access to...

What is the media up to with this one?
That would be the third time they found his ID, by my count.

It's funny that they are able to find his ID at the marina and after a fire in a cabin. Sounds like Mark Furman's job at the OJ scene.

Claiming it was his body before they IDed him through dental or other methods was dumb of that spokesperson but then they are stupid lapd/sherriff allowing the stupid hyper sensational media to direct the interview.
The mayor needs to just shut up, I won't even say his stupid made up last name. Hybrid of his and his (ex)wife - oh please. And the LAPD has now re opened his case? Sure like that's going to find new info that's going to change things. There's a reason the FBI are on the LAPD's case, because so big and so many of them are corrupt.

I have no idea why he was so quiet for so many years while in military service before going on this rampage. And why kill the kwan lady when her father was helping you in your case? If he sandbagged you, go after him and his buddies in the lapd not the daughter. If he had done that, maybe we'd believe him but his bad decisions kinda leads to he was probably more crazy than wronged.

Okay, if you want to nitpick, they say they "believe" there is a body, and I say they "know" there is a body even though they can't confirm it.

Comfort Sounds terrible.

1) he dropped his police badge at the marina
2) its not that hard to have multiple ID's… just tell the DMV that your current one was lost...

LOS ANGELES — The search for accused cop-killer Christopher Dorner continues to focus primarily around Big Bear, even as authorities respond to tips indicating he might have fled to Mexico, a Los Angeles police official said Tuesday.

An investigator working the case said that a wallet and identification cards belonging to Dorner were recovered last week at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to a federal complaint filed Thursday in Santa Ana.

That contradicts with what authorities said on Thursday, when it was reported that a shuttle bus driver turned over Dorner's wallet, LAPD police badge and photo ID to San Diego police after a passer-by found them near Lindbergh Field.

San Diego Police Chief Bill Lansdowne said Tuesday that the items were found in the middle of Pacific Highway and Laurel Street.

Now we have a third set of identification being found.

I'm pretty sure that qualifies as strange.

I miss the days when reporting on the TV news and newspapers were accurate and true most of the time, not like today's 24 hour cycle and everyone is racing to be the first to report stupid shit!!!

He's not dead, he was sent to an LAPD black site to be tortured.
