Things are off to a rocky start in testing. Ferrari's car caught fire and there are some gear box issues, while Hamilton's car had brake failure, causing a minor crash into the barrier, he wasn't hurt though.

First day of practice went okay. I caught a bit of p1 and it was dry.. i've got my picks in for a wet crazy monsoon rain day race with Hamilton winning and seb/ alonso next.

They said that in the F1 extra show last week after Australia - Leigh on IRL duty, Varsha filling in.

Leigh is growing on me, I'll say that much nod

I double checked my ticket for USGP, I'm in row 28 in turn 12. Just hoping I can see the entry to turn 12 above the fence for good photos Pray

I caught a part of the qualy with nbcsp and it was good to hear varsha back too.

Looks like someone got to will and got him to slow down on his speech. He was actually understandable.
The race will be good tomorrrow. Massa's got his mojo back and both the ferraris are goona pounce on Vettel at the start.
Hope Hammy give vettel problems too.

the odds of me watching this race live are pretty slim nod 2:30am isn't that late, but staying awake until 5am is EEK!

Yeah, we won't even try when it's that sort of time. What did we do before DVRs? Or for that matter, before home VCRs? There were Betamax machines but they were massive and crazy expensive. It was like the dark ages back then. Cold

My parents have never had cable TV, let alone a DVR, even netflix streaming is too complicated for them Doh laugh out loud I never knew anything about F1 until I had a coworker who got me into it while I was in DC.

eastern time at least pushes the Europe races an hour later to 8am, which is way more bearable than the Europe schedule on pacific time. But on Pacific time, the Asian schedule races were pretty easy to catch Saturday nights, although that has changed in the last few years

I know this isn't F1 but I wouldn't have wanted this seat for this year's Daytona 500 EEK!

Iagree what a crazy little race. it's too bad all the team orders essentially killed the last 15 laps of the race, after the last round of pit stops not much seemed to happen other than complaining drivers. I was a little annoyed that they kept showing the "battle" for 3rd which had been shut down by the team boss, but not the actual battle between Kimi and Massa Mad

I've said it before and I'll say it again, oval tracks are kinda death traps nod

The seats I have are parallel to a long straight near the end where there's a tight turn away from the stands. There's a huge run off area in the direction of travel, along with plastic safety barriers, metal gaurdrail, and two rows of fencing, plus all of the seats are elevated in that bleacher, none of them get down to track level like they do in that photo shake head

Today's race was dumb. All the crap at the end with team orders and some following while others did not made it into a mess. Mark got robbed by the kid with bullying parents and Nico followed orders like a good team driver. The benny hill music should really be played for how RBR and Merc tried to explain what they did with team orders. I'll put some video up on youtube later in the weeek.

Bull shet of a race except for massa made a good run on wet setup.
