Anyone following the Carnival Triumph cruise ship story?

Carnival Triumph engine fire; lost power; tug boats pulling it to Mobile, AL.

The 500 or so McDonald's franchisees and executives onboard should at least be used to the conditions if they've spent much time in one of their restaurants.

We cruise on Carnival 5 months from today! laugh out loud (different ship though)

I'd be so poed right now if I was on that ship. I've only been on 1 cruise. I think I like going to one place rather than seeing a few places but having to spend so much time on an icky ship.

Wait. So there's urine soaking the floor. The walls are disgusting. And there's no sanitation. Why the fark are they towing it to Birmingham, AL then? The conditions aren't any better there! vomit

Not really following it (since the ship is so slow and smells Roll), but if the conditions are that awful I do not understand why they aren't letting people get in lifeboats just so they can get away from the ship and I would assume get on dry land sooner. Confused

BTW I'm going on an RCI cruise in around 5 weeks. Harhar
