Retired: Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

For cat owners: The other day I mentioned my cat's ears and the vet's recommendation of olive oil. I put it in once a day for 2-3 days, but it was really too stressful for him, so I stopped. It's been 3-4 days since the last application and he's continued to shake his head at an almost alarming rate. Today he found a new hiding place on top of a vinyl beach bag. In just the few hours he's been on it he managed to cover it with crud from his ears. I stood there in shock. Apparently, you're supposed to use the oil like once week (vet told me daily). The oil loosens the crud and when it dries the stuff comes out. I was wondering why I wasn't seeing a lot of dirt after I wiped each time I put oil in them. I googled and read that you should warm the oil to room temp - next time that's what I'll do. I did put some oil on a cotton ball just now to wipe away additional crud and I did get quite a bit. I'm just amazed at how effective this is, much more effective than the toxic cleaner the first vet sold me. So, if you have a problem with mites or wax, try this.

What kind of wine would you serve with this?

For a Black Tie event, I would suggest a dry white wine, for a back yard get together a keg of beer would suffice laugh out loud
