Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

Ranch paper work all filled out and FedEx picking it up tomorrow. The thing is I may not take it. Figured out the taxes and MB only gives you $600.00 towards that plus your paying taxes on the $600.00. Talked to them today and it will be in August or September. Well I plan on going to Niece's wedding in San Diego end of August and staying 4 to 5 weeks. So now I have to decide to pay $1,000.00 in taxes (my share after the $600.00 from MB) for 3 nights at the ranch or $1,000.00 for ticket and spending money for 5 weeks in San Diego. I have about a month to decide but it seems I would rather be in San Diego for a month or so. We will see what happens in the next month.

Not quite understanding that much in taxes but hope you get it worked out..Just from posts in the past it seemed that Marlboro was willing to be flexible on dates.

It's not the dates so much but the taxes. I figured about 33% for federal and state, that is usually what it is on wins. Our state is high in taxes so you have to figure both.

Oh and BTW the win was from the instant win game that ended May 21st. I don't remember ever hitting the instant win but I didn't pay much attention to it because I never thought I would. I was even thinking why am I playing this as I don't usually play games for trips because of the taxes, but if they have smaller prizes like in a IW I'll enter. LOL DUH me again!!!!!!!!

jules, Maybe you can find some trip reports from other ranch winners and see if that helps. Marlboro would probably work with you on the dates. Only you can decide what is best for you. Glad that your youngest daughter wants to go and could take the time off.
