If you were half mile away from the finish line then we were probably very close to each other at the moment. I wasn't running marathon though. Did you hear the first blast? I don't think I've heard any explosion.

What's happening to the runners that are witnesses? A lot of people run these things and then fly off in the late-afternoon to go home. I mean, some of them are obviously witnesses and could help but were expecting to go home and go to work Tuesday morning.
I'm sure a lot of those runners didn't see anything that wasn't recorded by all the video and still cameras but surely if someone did see something they would have the sense to contact the authorities.
