There have been reports of explosives and grenades. Also, a stolen police vehicle. I'm just relaying what others have reported....so who knows.

I hope I'd have the testicular fortitude to tell them no when they asked to search my house without a warrant... solely on principal... Then again I'd probably puss out and let them in.

Reporting in from waltham-which is next town over from Watertown. After not being able to sleep last night, home preparing to take nap. It is a ghost town-nobody is out and about. It is vacation week here but no kids are playing outside. It is so quiet you can hear actually hear the gentle breeze blowing through the trees. That just does not happen here!

Mixed here as well. I don't like the idea, but at the same time, since I've been keeping up with the situation, if I was aware of why they were there, I would let them do it.

I was going to say I'd be fine with it. Honestly, I probably wouldn't be fine, but I'd approve, accept it, whatever. Just a bad situation all around, having your house searched isn't so bad compared to everything else that has gone on.

I don't understand why anyone would even think of not letting them in. They're looking for a terrorist, and someone is willing to stand there and say "You can't enter my house on principle"?

People need to quit thinking about what they can get away with and just do the right thing. If someone blocks them just because they think they can, they should spend some time and jail with all the other idiots.

I'm trying to get caught up and skimmed through most of the posts so I may have missed it already being mentioned, but it sounds like Dzhokhar Tsarnaev became a naturalized U.S. citizen on Sept. 11, 2012.

The little farking terrorist probably got a kick out of the timing of that.

The timming of his citizenship will open a lot of debates here on SD and elsewhere. We do need immigration reform but why is a political refugee entitled to citizenship. Even his aunt from Canada said they never suffered any oppression in Chechenia or Dagestan . She said she filed for them and got here ver easy. The only ones entitled to citizenship should be the ones born on US soil from US citizens. Or do what French do and award citizenship to non citizens that serve at least 5 years. Ppl that love US and are willing to shed blood for this country. A green card without a path to citizenship should suffice for the rest.

Seriously? When did your ancesters get here? The majority of our country's citizens are immigrants...our country is based on immigration, on people fleeing their countries that were either ostracizing or trying to kill them or just looking to give their children a better life.
