You know what we should have done. We should have just put up signs declaring the U.S. a "bomb-free zone." Like how we put up "gun-free zone" signs at schools to stop school shootings.

He said he didn't have any American friends and he didn't understand us (Americans). Clearly he was mentally ill and brain-washed into expanding that into hate. But the cultural differences are profound.

We have a large Russian community here and there's a new immigrant working at a local store. The level of customer service and pleasantries was incredible initially and now he barely looks at anyone. He really wished people well, you know? But folks are so rude and disaffected these days he probably wonders why waste his time trying to be nice. Frown

The majority of the people I know with a green card are just here for money to send back home and they actually want to go back home - sometimes to 3rd world countries - rather than stay here.

Never heard of that and it sounds like something that would annoy me.

So what you were saying is that I am immune to "who knows what" and I'm married to the elite. What do you mean by elite....LE background? When I said "Nobody tells me what to do"....that was in your response to "don't be a sheep and back down".....meaning I don't.

And then by me saying my DH "reminds me of that all the time" meant he basically knows how I am and says things like "nobody can ever tell you what to do because you always have to do things your way" or "why argue with people in public.....just ignore BS".

laugh out loud No not at all. I don't buy in to most of them. I'd say about 90% of them are either just plain stupid baseless. About 10% raise good questions, but they either never have answered or will never be answered.

And I was just messing with you because you went to an Obama party.

I agree questions should come up about a lot of crap that goes on.....and Iagree there are some good ones. We have to ALWAYS be our own advocates IMO. But I like facts....from the source if possible. And my comment about "reality" was not directed at you. I think you can see where people with their own agendas chimed in with crap. But that will always happen everywhere in life. I've seen my share of it in person and choose to avoid it.
