My truck was broken into and my Chromebook I won on SD was taken...:( NEW *****UPDATE!!! Post 188 Police put it on FB finally!!!!!!

What a bad day it was. I went into the gym to workout and someone opened up my truck and took my new Chromebook. The one I just won in Dec from SD. Crying I always lock my doors. But I have no damage to the doors. Did I forget and leave them unlocked? That would be so unlike me. The cop said that it is possible that they were able to jimmy the locks without leaving any damage to the door. Sadwalk

No, they're on video. Maybe not at the gym but when those charges were made.

Investigators can get it, easily. And track them out the door to the vehicle and maybe even get a plate if the camera's good enough.

My last CC thief ran $2,000 worth of charges, and I laughed. Actually, the nice thing about it for Cupcake is that she will be credited the $4,000 grand in fraudulent charges and probably won't have to pay her next CC bill due date... She'll basically get a free extra-month grace period.

I'd be more mad/upset about the Chromebook since I highly doubt Cupcake has a $0 deductible on theft....I'm not even sure chromebooks go past the general $500 deductible.

The gyms cameras did do any good but Best buy and Walmart should have better ones. :fingerscrossed:

All the CC charges were caught before the were out of pending. So no extra month. laugh out loud but on the bright side with all the extra cameras involved now they might be able to catch them and get my Chromebook back.

Like I said, Walmart's cameras worked well to ID the culprits when my friend had her cc stolen. So crossing my fingers that Walmart had standardized their camera setup for all stores.

Plus with the credit card charge amounts it should push them into felony charge areas, not to mention they can be charged with stolen goods as they were bought with a stolen credit card. The last grand jury I was on it amounted to us indicting for around a dozen charges each (they hit 4 stores with the stolen CC).

Since the charges were pretty substantial in value, I'm thinking that Wally and such will be extra willing to help with the investigation! nod

Maybe the tapes at these stores will reveal who it was that stole the MC - and as others have said - cancel all your CCards - it would be prudent in this situation - they will send you new one's ASAP - and you won't get charged for any of that stuff - but here's hoping they got them on Security Tape Banned
