I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about.
I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.
I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.
Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

i dont want to use a larger hook because doesnt that just make bigger gaps in it? i dont want that.
Another sock knitter here, though I've been known to make sweaters and baby stuff and dishcloths too. Also spin and crochet. Any of you who do filet crochet might want to check out my filet group on Ravelry. It's Figures In the Air [ravelry.com], and we've had a bunch of new members and new posts recently.
i guess it came out pretty similar except mine is bigger.

Welcome to thread LizW!

Lovely bag, and a great way to combine solid and variegated. I went down to Elmore-Pisgah last week (Peaches 'n' Creme folk) and came back with lots of pretty things out of their seconds bins. So I'm primed to do some crocheting. I'd love to have the pattern for this one.

I've attached the pattern. I adapted a different pattern. It's version 5.0 - a great size for groceries!
