Prizes: three winners will be selected and one winner will receive one of the following prizes:
Prize 1: A credit for the winning entrant and one guest to participate in one REI Outdoor School day trip or class valued at up to $250 per person. Available classes can be found at REI's website at: http://www.rei.com/outdoorschool.h
Prize 2: A credit for the winning entrant and one guest to participate in one REI day trip or class valued at up to $250 per person. Available classes can be found at REI's website at: http://www.rei.com/outdoorschool.h
Prize 3: A trip for the winning entrant and one guest to partipate in REI's Machu Picchu 10 day lodge trek as detailed on the REI Adventures website at: http://www.rei.com/adventures/tri...n/mpl.html Prize 3 include roundtrip airfare for two from the United States to the Trip starting point, all guide services, and meals and accommodations as further detailed on the REI Adventures website. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of the Prize is $11,800.
The Machu Picchu trip is rated Vigorous (4). A physician's signed approval/release may be required for participation on this Trip. Entrants must have the following physical abilities:
Vigorous Trip: Recommended for fit travelers capable of:
Activity: 5-8 hours most days
Distances: Hike up to 12 miles most days, cycle 30-50 miles most days
Surfaces: mountainous, exposed terrain with steep ascents/descents and uneven trails
Elevation change: up to 4,000 ft/day
Altitude: up to 14,000 ft.
Experience and a doctor's release may be required
