Autocheck brings back 15 reports, carfax says they have 39 records for the same car.
Thanks for posting this though. A bunch of dealers selling clunkers, I checked.
Hence why the prices were so cheap.

I know the history of my current cars & it came up accurate mileage check wise & title but accidents, see below.

So then got curious of my previous cars. They all got totaled, junked or salvaged by the subsequent owners after I sold them.

Then on an accord ex v6 that's been rear ended twice & paid for by 2 separate insurance companies that we still have. It shows clear title & no reported accidents. One was a small company (eerie), the other was Farmers & was serviced at a big shop with a great reputation here & in the Farmers network.

I understand if the repair was paid out of pocket by the party at fault & the repair was swept under the table, but Farmers insurance is a big company. One accident was 3 years ago, the other was 5, so it shouldn't be that they didn't update it or it was too recent.

Oh well, I guess that increases resale value lol

So take the reports as a grain of salt or for entertainment value.

exactly, just goes to show how worthless these reports are. Yet everyone thinks they are the holy grail to car buying.

CARFAX: Are the reports reliable?

Quote :
"CARFAX lulls consumers into a false sense of security," he said.

Gayle has represented clients that have sued dealerships for using a "clean" CARFAX to make a sale, when in fact, the report was not accurate.
