. . . . . said the doctor to my bride when she had two of my kids in for their wellness visits today. What does that have to do with anything? And the doc didn't let up. My bride kept telling her that she doesn't need to answer that question; so the doc asked it multiple times throughout the visit.

I had been holding off on saying much in this thread. . .In the Electronic Medical Record that I used during my residency they did have a question about guns in the home, so it is likely built in to multiple medical records - they all have to meet certain quality measurements (in place due to government regulation of medicine) - unknown whether they will try to use it as some form of tracking. . .whether that would be some sort of violation of HIPPA or whether they made some exception to that in the 2,000 pages of the ACA.

You should double check with your wife if they asked her if she felt safe in her home or if there was an issue of domestic abuse. Those questions typically followed the firearm question, the seatbelt question, and the sunscreen question - And were usually more relevent then whether or not there are guns in the home.

Thanks for the info. I will check with her. She's suppose to take a pic of the form when she goes next time. This is the first I've heard about the feeling safe at home or domestic abuse. The bride knows better than to answer those types of questions any way other than what I've told her. She's learned her lesson. That's for sure.

Exactly. You can't compare the two unless you know what political slant Snopes has when it reports news. When you find that out and Snopes starts reporting news then you can compare the two.
