amazon closed my account

Got a email that amazon closed my account, due to recieving a refund on 2 orders I returned due to the items were not working so they closed my account, and I had a lot of money in my account still from my surveys, now im out so much money, does anyone know how I can get my money I contacted them and they said I maynot be able to get it backConfused

I bought a 300 bed frame wooden which broke when putting it together, lasership delivered candles and a urn which they threw on my porch, some I sent them back, I can access my on demand and kindle apps, I just cant buy anything,

Yeah your account is done and they don't reverse their decision. Plus, you can't contact regular customer service for help, they make you use that one email and you can't call. If you ever want to make a new account again, you need a new physical address, credit card number, and ip address (and obviously different email).

The seller for the bed frame wanted pictures so I sent them and they had no problem with it, same with the urn and candles

I don't think either seller would have any direct impact as far as closing your account.. they probably just wanted pictures to make sure you weren't trying to get a 2nd one free or something.. (that or to see if they can just replace a single piece)

other than politely e-mail their account specialists, I don't think you can do anything else - atleast it seems like they are working on the current balance that you do have and aren't trying to swindle you or anything, is there any tracking number or way you can get a status on that?

I can validate that amazon WILL close accounts for returning two items. Everyone always says "must be more to it" but it my case there was NOT more to it, they did not close my account, but they threatened to. My crime? I ordered a small, handheld fan. Fan #1 did not work. Sent it back, they shipped another one. Fan #2 was also defective right out of the box. So I shipped two defective fans back and finally fan #3 was functional. Then I got an email threatening to close my account and they basically said that I could not return anything anymore- you know the drop down list that appears for each order in case you need to return something? I don't have that. I am guessing that had I sent back two items that were large and heavy, they may have closed my account, instead of just warning me. I only still have my account because I still have the prime student rate and my husband needs to get work related stuff quickly sometimes.

So believe it or don't believe but that is what happened to me. I probably only spend 20% of the money I used to on amazon but no great loss anyway with their high prices and add on nonsense.
