Quick open letter to the head coach of the Patriots:
Dear Mr. Bill,
You're the head coach of the best team in football, congratulations on your tremendous efforts. Now fark off and leave the sport to those that do not just consider it simply a business because you're sucking the fun out of the game and ruining this sport for not only fans of the teams you embarass, but kids that are learning about something you seem to totally lack: sportsmanship.
Its easier to explain Janet Jackson's floppy booby during a wardrobe malfunction than the planned and continued deliberate actions taken by the players under your direction. Sure its your job to win games, are you not good enough to do it without constantly skirting the rules, using deception and just out and out farking cheating? You're a dirty, unkempt, embarassment to the game.
Get the hell out of the sport.
Sincerely,
- Fans of the NFL and the ultimate purveyors of your salary

New poll should be "Will the Patriots ever win another Super Bowl with Bill Belichick as head coach?"

And yes that wasn't even the first time overall. Dan Marino was the first IIRC.
Disgruntled sports fans have their own unique brand of tunnel vision.
I am defending their actions in the past few weeks. I feel that in professional sports there shouldn't be any crying when teams can't complete at another teams level. Fark the so called unwritten rules about not running up the score. These teams should show some pride and play the whole game. Once again, try to keep up with the adults.

As far as the Pats, truly classless. The college argument doens't hold water because as was already said, that's how college is played because the ranking depend on them.
The Pats are breaking the unwritten rules. We don't hate them because they are good, we hate them because they go for it on 4th down when there is no way they can possibly lose. Run the ball, get touchdowns if you never have a 4th down, but if you get a 4th down, kick the ball.
I am by no means an Indy fan, in fact I hate them too, but I still respect the colts and I will be their biggest fan this week.
BTW, full disclosure here, the pats have not played my team this year and they will not play my team this year.

The only place we disagree is on the unwritten rules. For me, it's not about feeling sorry for the losing team. It's just about class. Why not "settle" for a field goal on 4th down in that situation. It doens't mean the pats stopped playing by any means, it just shows some respect for the game. If they had scored on 3rd and 10 with a 70 yard run, I wouldn't call that running up the score.
