Amazon closed my account

So my wife account on Amazon got closed due "continued to request refunds for a significant number of your orders." Basically we had a baby and she was buying and returning stuff, but still keeping a lot of stuff. But I guess they have there reasons, anyway my account which had the same amazon visa card (sharing rewards) also got closed due to being linked to this account. I had student prime and over all loved my account and had good standings. What can I do now ? From reading around I see that they are using the billing address and/or Credit card/Bank information to link accounts, not the delivery address. This really sucks !

Not taking sides here or anything. I get why Amazon does it, but I think it's messed up that they do it without warning you first. And I've seen posts that mention they steal your gift card balance when they close your account, which is definitely wrong, even if they are justified in closing your account.

Yes, stealing your gift card balance is pretty bad. I guess a warning would be appropriate, but I think one needs to analyze how that might pan out. I can't see any downsides, but maybe Amazon just wants to cut it's losses and move on. They probably see that people are prone to behave certain ways, and if you warn them, their behavior will just morph into some other form of abuse. Just thinking out loud here.
It is how Amazon operates.

The bottom line is though that it matters little why Amazon does what they do. The end result is the same: people get banned, and many never find out why. You can stomp your feet, yell foul, throw a temper tantrum or even hire a lawyer. None of it is going to help.
As a ps though: I was banned once. I was reinstated, but it was not easy.

Lol much better anology! But same concept. So based on this anyone that ever sent me a gift or used our registry should be banned for life from Amazon ?

I received the same emails, same responses, etc. I escalated it to their executive services or loss prevention (can't remember all details, this was over 6 years ago). I had to prove I had twins, had to have a notarized statement that I bought these items for 2 different people (family members) and that I was not a reseller. I was then put on probation of some sort.
I may remember some of the details wrong.
Oh and yeah I did do charge back for 1 item. But still this sucks we got lots of stuff for bf and cm and those are still shipping to my house.
OP, do a charge back on your CC.
