Keurig coffee makers will implement DRM to block third-party coffee

I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. But I know a lot of you love your K-cups and I was wondering how you Keurig users would feel about this. I'm unclear how they are going to keep the option open to brew in a Keurig with coffee grounds, unless they are cutting that out, too. Maybe if enough of us raise a stink, they will backtrack? It has worked before on other companies.

I love my Keurig, but wouldnt buy a new castrated machine if the one I have craps out, if this is the path they take...

Sounds like someone needs an intervention.

Hopefully someone you live with sees this and switches out all of your regular for decaf.

A lot of people who use Keurigs grind their own beans and use them in the machine. It's more efficient for people who only drink one cup per day, like me.

I had a really fancy drip coffee machine with a special setting for 3-5 cups, and that was the least it could make. Now, I use a french press and the coffee I make with it is bad. I asked for a Keurig mini for my birthday. I like to make the 6oz cup size, it's nice and strong.

Also, please don't derail the thread to rant about Keurig machine users, or I'll come to your house and complain about comb-overs.

Stellar move on their part if true. Will likely mean the end of Keurig if others make a similar device that can use any brand of cups. Myspace says hello...
