Lol'ing in traffic. The guy next to me is rather amused.

Ultrasound news: 10 fingers and 10 tiny toes. Brain and skull look good along with the spine. 4 chambers in the heart (just beating away), good kidneys. No palate defects seen. Normal size (about the 51st percentile) good long bones. The only thing that was unusual was the size of the placenta-rather large and that's why I can't feel her kick yet.

On the one hand I can't wait for her to get her either. But on the other hand the nursery is an empty room and we haven't bought any baby stuff yet. Lol. DH doesn't want to buy stuff until the room is painted so we have a place to put it. We did buy paint last weekend though because he's painting tomorrow.

Let's hope the smell of paint doesn't make you nauseous.

One of my co-workers' wife is pregnant. He said she went to buy gas the other day, smelled gasoline fumes, and immediately threw up in one of the trash cans by the pump. She was not amused.

We got kinda lucky that the sellers of our house had a 2-3 year old girl, so the room was already painted. I repainted the trim to make it more neutral since we didn't know what we were having, but it worked out.

When we bought our house, a previous owner had closed inthe back porch creating two rooms, one was off the kitchen, and was made into the laundry/utility room, the other half of the enclosed porch was off the master bedroom, and almost useless for the 6 years we live there, it was too small to be an office, and too big and had too many windows to convert to a closet...but ultimately, it did make the perfect nursery...

That's part of why DH wants to paint it now. It's supposed to be in the 70's so he can open the windows and the furnace won't be running the smell all through the house. I'll leave if I need too. Remember to add insult in injury I'm allergic to latex and ergo latex paint.

Actually no. It doesn't bother me once its dry to have latex paint. Thank goodness because it's in 99.9% of all commercial buildings. DH used to manage a paint store (10 yrs ago) so he has some expertise. We bought Harmony paint from Sherwin Williams. Its ultra low VOC and they use it at hospitals. It actually absorbs odors. It was a bit more expensive but we only needed two gallons and we got a discount Whee

Did that one year for Halloween. Took peeps more than an hour to figure out who it was and then they admitted they did it using process of elimination and height. laugh out loud I guess it was a really good costume although those yellow hazmat suits are hotter than blazes to wear indoors.
