The cost of repairing all this unnecessary shit they are putting on vehicles.
People are so stupid to think all this things they see and star eyed about
are so wonderful; until they break "after warranty" and you see how much
it will cost to replace/repair. Don't bitch then

Also per the NHTSA...
What are we doing to combat the scourge of bicyclist deaths? It seems to me that banning bicycles would save nearly ten times as many lives as mandatory backup cameras.
What about bicycle avoidance sensors? Maybe auto steer that will slam your car into the nearest building or parked car to save the bicycle?
The wife's new Pilot has one. It's nifty, but I still use mirrors. I can see it becoming a crutch for new drivers that are used to the camera and have to drive a car without one.
If you need side sensors to let you know if someone's beside you....
If you need automatic parking assist....
You really shouldn't be driving!

The problem I see is when the dealship cannot get the issue to show while they are testing. So I'm running with a camera that doesnt want to run at odd times.

It's really to sad that you aren't allowed to shoot stupid people. At least to thin the herd. Take out some of the breeders..
Still, I check the mirrors first then the monitor before backing up in my Dart. It is an added level of safety. Am I worried about the cost to repair/replace if it fails? Yes. I hope to purchase the lifetime warranty through Chrysler soon.
I'd still instead either look back or use my side mirror. I dunno how this helps. Its not like the roadtest will let you look at your backup camera to parallel park lol
