The video of the kid getting punched is sooo hard to watch. Frown

If this were my child, I would sue the school, the parents of the kid that hit him, AND the kids that cheered. Mad

Oohhh, yeah. You should if you get a chance! I have it on PS3 - I like it better on there. I tried it on xbox, I had way more freezing and glitching problems. (At least with the online portion).
It's literally a goat simulator game. You simulate being a goat.

You know why kids behave like such little shits these days? Because when they behave like that, instead of blaming the kids and forcing them to take responsibility for their own actions, parents blame TV/movies/video games and essentially send the message to the kids that they are not to blame for their own actions. Since they never have to accept responsibility for acting like little shits, they have no incentive not to continue acting like little shits.

If you want your kid to stop behaving badly, don't blame their bad behavior on everything under the sun except them. Tell them to own the consequences of their own damn decisions and teach them to learn from their mistakes and change their behaviors.
You know what else is missing these days? A good old fashion ass-beating by the parents. Kids tend to behave much better when they are held accountable for their actions.

Thats what I was thinking...

Instead of "what if my son were the victim?" I was thinking "what if my son were the bully?" And I thought "I would whoop his ass, then I would take him to the parents of the victim and let them whoop his ass, then I would take him to the victim and let that kid whoop his ass, then I would whoop his ass again"...

I probably wouldn't go as far as you would. I will definitely kick my son's ass and make him apologize face to face but nobody else will discipline my kid.

This would be immensely effective but yet will never happen. What will most likely happen instead is that the family will hire a lawyer to represent the kid in court (which is natural), the kid might get a slap on the wrist or do some time in Juvie without ever having to admit fault or apologize for what he did, and probably get out thinking he is cooler and more badass than ever... Then the spiral downhill begins and the rest of us suffer from his future criminal activities when his parents kick him out of the house at 18...

This is what happens when people allow society to parent their children instead of doing the work themselves.

Well, being a father of a boy, I could tell you with certainty that the ass-beating will happen. I'm sure that it will only happen once because that's all it took me to realize that the threat was real when I was a kid.

Obviously, what the other family does is out of my control but there will be an apology from our side prior to that.

I have to teach these lazy self entitled kids every freaking day. They don't turn in their assignments on time, they don't come to class, they don't study... and yet it's always my fault for being too strict. "What do you mean I can't turn this assignment in 3 days late?" "What do you mean you don't drop the lowest test score?" "What do you mean there's no extra credit to help boost my grade?"

Everything is always someone else's fault and they always expect someone else to come in and clean up their messes and save them from the consequences of their own laziness and apathy. The self esteem generation of kids is going to be the downfall of this country because they don't have even the most rudimentary tools to survive in the real world and yet someday they are going to be running things. God help us when that day comes.

Which was exactly my point when I made the comment about television and desensitized kids.
